Bombing Attacks Unmask Iran, Netanyahu Says

The terror bombings in New Delhi and Bangkok this week have unmasked Iran for the world to see its true face, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told the Knesset Wednesday.
"Iran is undermining the world's stability and harms innocent diplomats, he said. “World countries must condemn Iran's terror acts and draw a red line."
Indian officials have said there are signs that confirm Israel’s accusations that Iran was behind the attack that seriously wounded Tal Yehoshua-Koren, the wife of an Israeli diplomat in New Delhi Monday. Almost simultaneously, terrorists failed in an attack on Israeli diplomats in Georgia.
Iranians were clearly involved in Tuesday’s bombings in central Bangkok, where two suspects from the Islamic Republic have been arrested. A third escaped the country.
Security cameras on India caught the terrorists in the area of the parked car of Yehoshua-Koren.
Police also traced more than 100 phone calls made between Indian, Iran, Pakistan and Lebanon around the time of the bombing of her car.
Indian officials have arrested five men suspects, possibly the same ones from a list of approximately 50 people whom the Mossad advised India should be kept under surveillance.
Indian media reported that Yehoshua-Koren was able to indentify the motorcycle terrorist who attached the magnetic bomb to her car.
Terror Victim Glad Children Were not in Car

Tal Yehoshua-Koren, wounded in the attack in India, says she is fortunate that her children were not in the vehicle when it was bombed at exactly 3:16 p.m. Monday.
The wife of an Israeli diplomat in New Delhi was seriously wounded but may have saved her own life by dashing out of her vehicle when she saw a motorcyclist attaching a device to her car. It turned out to be magnetic bomb that exploded seconds later and twisted the car into mangled pieces of metal.
She recalled the attack as she lay in her hospital bed and spoke with the Hebrew language newspaper Yediot Acharonot.
“I remember seeing the motorcyclist, who apparently threw something in the direction of the car,” she said.
Doctors operated on her Monday night to remove shrapnel from her back and liver, and she will remain under anesthesia until a decision is made on further treatment.
Her driver, an Indian, and two Indian passengers of a nearby car also were wounded in the attack, several hundred feet from the official residence of India’s prime minister.
The attack was timed to coincide with an attempted bombing of a car owned by Israeli embassy employees in Tbilisi, the capital city of the country of Georgia.
A worker noticed a strange sound in his vehicle when it began to travel and called the police, who discovered the bomb and neutralized it before it could cause any damage or injuries.
PLO Plans to 'Disengage' From Israel

Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) officials said Friday their decision to return to 'popular resistance' is aimed at 'disengaging' from Israel.
PLO Executive Committee member Tayseer Khalid said the new unified Fatah-Hamas strategy will be based on 'popular resistance' which will spread into PA enclaves in Judea and Samaria.
"The popular resistance will reshape the Palestinian relationship with Israel... to reach total disengagement with Israel," Khalid said.
"We will never accept to be an agent for the Israeli occupation," he added.
Khalid's statements are only the latest in the intransigent unilateralist mantra coming out of Ramallah and have led analysts to suggest that Fatah has decided to turn the PA enclaves in Judea and Samaria into a second Gaza.
Last week PLO officials officially adopted a strategy based on "continuous efforts along with the international community to secure full recognition and full United Nations membership, pursuing internal reconciliation, and keeping up the popular resistance."
They have also threatened to end economic and security ties with Israel.
Israeli officials have said the unilateral track adopted by their counterparts in Ramallah are a direct violation of the bilateral 1993 Oslo Accords - and warn unilateral moves on final status issues by PA officials will result in Israel making unilateral moves of its own.
It remains unclear what PA officials believe is to be gained by cutting all ties with Israel and returning to an all-or-nothing unilateral path.
PA security officials expressed concern earlier this year that a direct confrontation with Israel could have disasterous consequences, while Ramallah's senior economic advisers have warned discontinued Israeli participation in the PA economy would lead to fiscal insolvency.
A recent and short-lived decision to halt tax revenue transfers to the PA by Jerusalem sent Ramallah into a fiscal tail spin.
In addition, Israeli leaders have made it clear that attempts to realize territorial claims by force would result in Israel moving to secure its own communities in Judea and Samaria and could trigger Israel's annexing areas it prefers to retain in future negotiations.
Israel provides all critical infrastructure to Ramallah's enclaves, including electricity, water, telecommunications, and Internet.
Nonetheless, PA officials seem bent on confronting Israel while fomenting 'popular resistance.' While ostensibly non-violent, the so-called ‘popular resistance’ resulted in two violent Intifadas which and were accompanied by a spike in terror attacks that resulted in thousands of Israelis being killed.
Regional observers note Article 9 of the PLO charter continues to assert, "Armed struggle is the only way to liberate Palestine. This it is the overall strategy, not merely a tactical phase.”
It also maintains “Palestine” is defined by the British Mandate and is “indivisible” – thus leaving no room for Israel to exist at all.
With Israeli military leaders saying Israel can "not escape" a major operation in Hamas-run Gaza saying such a move is fast becoming "essential" – some observers say the PLO is making a dramatic strategic blunder.

Zoals bekend wordt Gaza bestuurd door de Palestijnse terreurbeweging Hamas. Van oorsprong komt Hamas voort uit een organisatie genaamd Al-Mujamma al Islami, een Palestijnse afsplitsing van de Egyptische Moslimbroederschap. In de tachtiger jaren genoot Yassin steun van de Israelische overheid die hem zag als mogelijke bondgenoot in de strijd tegen de PLO van de voormalige aartsterrorist Jasser Arafat. De lichamelijk gehandicapte Yassin werd in die tijd herhaaldelijk medisch behandeld in Israël. In de tweede helft van de tachtiger jaren begon de beweging van Yassin zich echter steeds meer te verzetten tegen Israël en werd het steeds meer een terreurbeweging. Het karakter van deze club veranderde definitief in 1987 met het begin van de eerste intifada (1987-1993). In 1987 veranderde de naam Al-Mujamma al Islami zijn naam in Hamas dat onder leiding kwam te staan van Yassin en Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi.
Toen in 1993 de Oslo-akkoorden werden gesloten weigerde Hamas hier aan mee te werken omdat het de staat Israël niet erkende en streefde naar vernietiging van de Joodse staat. Tijdens een bezoek van de Europese ‘superminister’ Javier Solana in augustus 2002, sprak een woordvoerder van Hamas zijn dank uit voor deze steun: “wij worden tenminste wel door Europa erkend. Dat geeft rechtvaardiging aan onze acties en sterkt ons daarmee door te gaan." Sinds het begin van de Tweede intifada in september 2000, werden er onder leiding van Yassin en Rantissi 425 terreuraanslagen uitgevoerd, waaronder 52 zelfmoordaanslagen waarbij in totaal 377 Israëli's, burgers en militairen zijn vermoord en 2076 gewond geraakt. Als reactie op deze gewelddadigheden besloot Israël de beide leiders Yassin en Rantisi te liquideren. Op 22 maart 2004 zag eerst Yassin (67), zijn grote wens om als martelaar te mogen sterven in vervulling gaan. Tijdens een interview dat hij op 26 juli 1998 gaf aan de ‘Palestijnse krant’ Al-Quds, stelde de journalist hem de vraag: "Denkt u dat Israël zal proberen u te liquideren", Yassin antwoordde: "Ik zal ontzettend blij zijn als dat gebeurt. Ik wilde dat zij het al gedaan hadden. De dag dat ik als shahid (martelaar voor Allah) zal sterven, zal de gelukkigste dag van mijn leven zijn." Vanuit zijn rolstoel gaf hij opdracht tot het plegen van massamoorden op Israëlische burgers en zond hij kinderen als zelfmoordenaars de dood in.
Als ‘geestelijke’ predikte hij voor de bevrijding van ‘Palestina’ van de rivier de Jordaan tot de Middellandse zee. Hij leerde zijn gevolg dat de Joden afstammelingen zijn van apen en varkens. Hij heeft er nooit een geheim van gemaakt tegenstander te zijn van een Joodse staat in het Midden- Oosten. Vlak voor hij met een raket- afgevuurd door een IDF-helikopter, werd geliquideerd, zei hij nog in een interview met het Duitse blad Der Spiegel dat de Joden maar een eigen staat moeten zoeken in Europa. De leiders van Europa waren er als de kippen bij om de liquidatie te veroordelen en spraken van een "Buitenwettelijke moord". De Britse dwaalgeest van BuZo Jack Straw zei “de aanslag op de oude man van (80 jaar) in zijn invalidenwagentje "onwettig, onacceptabel en ongerechtvaardigd te vinden."

Yassin’s opvolger- de op 17-04-2004 eveneens door een raket geliquideerde Abdel Aziz Rantisi- was niet alleen een "tikkende tijdbom, maar een fabriek voor tikkende tijdbommen." Honderdduizenden Arabieren trokken door de straten van Gaza om hun geliefde held, aartsterrorist en massamoordenaar Rantisi de laatste eer te bewijzen. Rantisi was één van de oprichters van Hamas in 1987 en net als Yassin betrokken bij het vermoorden van honderden onschuldige Israëlische burgers en Arabische kinderen die door hem als menselijke schilden zijn gebruikt of als zelfmoordenaar op pad gestuurd. Stakkers die de fabel geloofden van een prachtig leven in het paradijs met niet alleen 72 zwartogige maagden, alsook een aantal jongens,’prachtig als parels en gewent aan het drinken van wijn, een eeuwige jeugd en de seksuele potentie van honderd stervelingen’. Met deze smerige leugens werden/worden kinderen de dood ingejaagd. De wereldleiders reageerden alsof Israël een soort ‘heilige’ om het leven had gebracht. Rantisi was echter een vijand van de vrede. De doelstelling van barbaren als Yassin en Rantisi is jarenlang dezelfde geweest, het vermoorden van iedere Jood tussen de rivier de Jordaan en de Middellandse zee en de vernietiging van de Joodse staat. Er bestaat niet zoiets als een reactie van de islamitische terroristen op het geweld van Israël. Er is al jaren sprake van een oorlog met als doel de vernietiging van Israël. In deze oorlog heeft Israël het volste recht zich te verdedigen want het gaat uiteindelijk om haar voortbestaan.
De op 17-04-2004 geliquideerde Abdel Aziz Rantisi
Zoals gewoonlijk gaf ook de voormalige leider van de Verenigde Naties Kofi Annan weer blijk van zijn ranzige anti-Israël gevoelens. Tijdens de bloedigste moordpartijen op onschuldige Israëlische burgers waarin zelfs baby’s in de armen van hun ouders zijn vermoord, kwam Annan niet eenmaal op het idee om deze moorden te veroordelen. Zelfs de door Israël verijdelde aanslag waarbij bloed besmet met het Hiv-virus zou worden gebruikt, kreeg geen enkele aandacht van de anti-Israël lobby. De bedoeling was dat een Arabische zelfmoordterrorist behalve een bom ook een zakje besmet bloed op zich zou dragen. De aanslag was gepland tijdens de viering van Pesach 2004 in Israël. Deze onverschilligheid en het partij kiezen voor de moorddadige islamitische bendes en het bewust verspreiden van leugens over Gods volk, zal deze wereld onderdompelen in een spiraal van geweld.

In eerste instantie stond Gaza nog onder gezag van de Palestijnse Autoriteit maar dat veranderde in 2007, toen Hamas een bloedige coup pleegde culminerend in een burgeroorlog waarbij 400 aanhangers van het Palestijns bewind van Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas) werden vermoord en vele anderen voor het leven hebben verminkt. Duizenden door Amerika gesteunde Fatah leden werden door leden van Hamas uit Gaza verdreven. Zij gaven zich over met al hun wapens die ze van de Amerikanen en Israël hadden gekregen. Egypte wilde ze niet. Israël was het enige land dat troepen, helikopters en ambulances stuurde opdat ze niet allemaal zouden worden afgeslacht. De macht in Gaza is sindsdien in handen van Hamas en de terreurbeweging schroomt niet alle tegenstanders uit de weg te ruimen. Daarnaast bleven Hamas en andere terreurgroepen ook na de ontruiming van de Joodse bewoners uit Gaza, Israël met raketten bestoken. Voorheen vormden de Joodse dorpen en militaire basis een bufferzone tussen Israël en Gaza, maar na de ontruiming namen de raketbeschietingen alleen maar toe. Zelfs tijdens het zogenaamde staakt-het-vuren van juni 2008 tot december 2008, bleef Hamas praktisch dagelijks raketten en mortieren op Israelische burgerdoelen afvuren.
Genoeg is genoeg zei Israels minister van Buitenlandse zaken Livni op 29 december 2008, na 5000 raketten op Israelische burgerdoelen. Ehud Barak, minister van Defensie zei dat Israel geen andere keus meer had dan terug te slaan: ‘Israel dient haar burgers te beschermen’. Het afvuren van raketten vanuit het dichtbevolkte Gaza is al vele keren als een oorlogsmisdaad aangemerkt. Toch reageren de wereldleiders er niet of nauwelijks op.
Ook gewone burgers moeten het onder het terreurbewind van Hamas ontgelden. Hoe Hamas terroristen een moslimhuwelijk verstoren, er alles kort en klein slaan, de bruidegom vermoorden omdat de gasten teveel lawaai maken en liedjes zingen. Verder zijn er beelden te zien hoe Hamas afrekent met de ‘moslimbroeders’ van de Fatah beweging. En de wereld maar inhakken op Israël! Wanneer Israeli’s Palestijnse terroristen ombrengen, regent het VN-resoluties en internationale veroordelingen. Hamas is doordrenkt van haat en racisme. Dat staat centraal in de ideologie van Hamas, zoals ook blijkt uit het al eerder genoemde handvest. Het gaat hen maar om één ding: oorlog en terreur tot de staat Israel vernietigd is en alle Joden zijn gedood. Om dit bereiken wordt geen enkel middel geschuwd. Hamas roept met regelmaat op dat de Joodse staat Israel van de kaart moet worden geveegd, en dat alle Joden dienen te worden uitgeroeid. Zo hield een parlementslid van Hamas op 11 mei 2011 op Hamas-TV een toespraak met als titel: "Palestijnen komt de eer toe om de Joden uit te roeien."

Kinderen worden al jaren opgevoed bereid te zijn een gewelddadige dood te sterven. Voorbeeld daarvan is het Palestijnse kinderprogramma ‘Pioniers van morgen’, dat Hamas in januari 2010 op haar TV station Al Aqsa TV uitzond. De omroeper vroeg een 10 jarig meisje of ze bang was geweest toen het Israelische leger in december 2008 een aanval op Gaza begon. Het meisje antwoordde: ‘Nee, ik was niet bang. Ik wil toch graag als martelaar sterven, een martelaar voor Allah.’De omroeper prees het kind en zei toen tegen de kijkers: ‘Ze is nog maar 10 jaar, en wil als martelaar voor Allah sterven. Dat willen we toch allemaal…!’ Dat hier sprake is van een totaal verziekte samenleving mag duidelijk zijn uit dit soort voorbeelden. Geweld wordt gezien als de ideale oplossing voor het conflict.
Over de hele strook van Gaza worden ieder jaar tijdens de zomervakantie, duizenden kinderen ondergebracht in wat men ‘zomerkampen’ noemt. http://www.terrorism-info.org.il/malam_multimedia/English/eng_n/html/hamas_e004.htm Dat was onder Jasser Arafat en zijn opvolger Abu Mazen zo en dat is nu Hamas de dienst uitmaakt in Gaza, nog zo. De kinderen worden geïndoctrineerd om Joden te haten en geïnstrueerd in alle vormen van terreur. Het gaat om kinderen in de leeftijd van 7-15 jaar verspreid over honderden kampen. De kinderen worden getraind hoe ze Kassam raketten en granaten moeten afschieten, hoe ze bommen moeten maken, hoe ze met geweren moeten omgaan, hoe springladingen moeten worden gelegd en hoe ze vanuit hinderlagen kunnen toeslaan en wat ze moeten doen wanneer ze een Israeli te pakken krijgen. De teenagers liggen op spijkerbedden terwijl twee andere jongens op hun borst staan. Een negenjarige jongen zei “Niemand zal zich met ons kunnen meten wanneer wij kung fu meesters zijn geworden. Iedereen zal bang voor ons worden”.

Een van de jaarlijks terugkerende onderdelen is waarbij een Palestijn verkleedt als een joodse ‘Settler’ met zijn witte Subaru in een hinderlaag rijdt. Kinderen verkleedt als strijders in militaire kleding trekken de man uit zijn auto en laten zien hoe het met hem zou zijn afgelopen als het een echte ‘Settler’ zou zijn geweest. Aan het eind van de opleiding ontvangen de kinderen een certificaat met daarop hun prestaties. Kinderen vertellen na afloop dat ze onder meer van plan zijn Israelische vliegtuigen neer te schieten en tanks op te blazen. De trainers in het kamp dragen zwarte maskers om herkenning te voorkomen.
De leiders van Hamas doen in het Engels wel eens gematigde uitspraken om zo de naïeve westerlingen een rad voor ogen te draaien en anti-Semieten van argumenten te voorzien. Mensen als Dries van Agt en Anja Meulenbelt (SP) papagaaien dat dan gretig na. Hun boodschap luidt dan ook: de radicaalislamitische terreurbeweging Hamas is eigenlijk een heel redelijke club met heel redelijke mensen. Ze zijn zielig en onderdrukt en hebben nauwelijks iets te eten, vooral in Gaza, daarom moeten ze geholpen worden. Omdat Israel er maar niet mee wil praten, komt er maar geen einde aan het conflict tussen Israel en de Palestijnen. Wie de uitingen van Hamas in het Arabisch volgt weet echter dat Hamas helemaal niet een redelijke club is maar een islamitische doodscultuur die vindt dat niet alleen Joden maar ook christenen dienen te worden uitgeroeid. De SP is ook de partij van Harry van Bommel de man die tijdens een demonstratie in januari 2009 samen met enkele duizenden demonstranten opriep tot een nieuwe intifada.

Ook waren er spandoeken te zien met leuzen als ‘Israel burn in hell’ en posters van terreurleiders waaronder Nasrallah de leider van de Libanese terreurgroep Hezbollah. En natuurlijk was het geschreeuw “Allah is groot” weer niet van de lucht.

In 2007 blies een 64-jarige grootmoeder zichzelf op in de buurt van Israëlische militairen in Gaza, en verwonde er twee. Zij was de oudste vrouwelijke zelfmoordenaar en diverse vrouwen zeggen in haar voetstappen te willen treden.
Voor Palestijnse moslimmannen is het nu nóg aantrekkelijker geworden om zichzelf op te blazen te midden van Joodse en andere Israelische vrouwen en kinderen. Ahmad Bahr, de voorzitter van de Palestijnse Wetgevende Raad, verklaarde onlangs dat martelaren bij aankomst in de hemel niet door 72, maar door maar liefst 2,5 miljoen maagden zullen worden opgewacht. Volgens Bahr staat er in de hemel een 'paleis' waar alleen profeten, rechtvaardigen en martelaren naar binnen mogen. 'Dat paleis heeft 500 poorten. Bij iedere poort zijn 5.000 zwartogige maagden. 500 x 5.000 is 2,5 miljoen.
De leugens blijven zich maar eindeloos herhalen over de misère in Gaza en wie daar verantwoordelijk voor is.

De internationale gemeenschap is in een grove leugen over een Israelische belegering van de Gaza getrapt, terwijl zij de feiten negeert. En telkens schuiven de media, die deze leugens verspreiden, de waarheid terzijde. Een van de favoriete onderwerpen bij al degenen die Israel willen demoniseren is de zogenaamde Israelische blokkade van de zo broodnodige bouwmaterialen. Maar er is geen gebrek aan deze materialen want Hamas bouwt alsof het een hartenlust is. Zo maakte Hamas minister van huisvesting Yousef Alamanti voor United Press International (UPI) bekend de goedkeuring te hebben gegeven voor de bouw van een gigantisch nieuw residentieel complex in het centrum van Gaza. Het project omvat o.a. uit drie zeer hoge gebouwen en in totaal 25.000 appartementen, een moskee, een speeltuin, een winkelcentrum en scholen. Het is moeilijk om te begrijpen hoe een dergelijke omvangrijke project kan worden gebouwd als Israël geen bouwmaterialen toelaat tot Gaza. De waarheid is dat een dergelijk beleg niet bestaat. Ja, er is een embargo op goederen die Hamas in het verleden heeft gebruikt om raketten te vervaardigen, die op zuidelijk Israël werden afgevuurd, maar gewoonlijk mogen de meeste goederen vrij Gaza worden ingevoerd. In feite kunnen de bewoners van Gaza veel goederen gratis krijgen, omdat de anti-Israël kliek hun gebied zo succesvol heeft afgeschilderd als de armoedigste plek op aarde, dat de internationale gemeenschap regelmatig de rekeningen betaalt.
Internationale humanitaire hulp bereikt al jaren onophoudelijk Gaza en eindigde op generlei wijze tijdens of na de operatie Cast lead (Gegoten lood) . Het Israelische ministerie van Defensie publiceert regelmatig op haar website informatie over de hoeveelheden goederen die per dag Gaza via de grens met Israel binnenkomen. http://www.idf.il/1283-12638-EN/Dover.aspx Terwijl de import van ijzer wordt beperkt omdat dat door Hamas wordt gebruikt om er raketten mee te maken, houdt Israël –ondanks de voortdurende raketaanvallen op Israëlische burgerdoelen – al sinds januari 2009 een permanente humanitaire corridor open voor de overdracht van aan bederf onderhevige levensmiddelen zoals fruit, groenten, kaas, kruiden, brood en vlees die in overvloed op de lokale markten te vinden zijn. Terwijl aan de hele wereld de leugen wordt opgehangen dat er in Gaza een chronisch tekort aan bouwmaterialen is, openen de Palestijnen het ene na het andere hotel en luxueus ingerichte winkelcentra, dat niet zou misstaan in iedere willekeurige mondaine Europese badplaats. Markten en winkelstraten zijn vol met Palestijnen, die hun aankopen doen in propvolle winkels, waar tegen lage prijzen een overvloed aan kleding, elektronica en voedsel te verkrijgen is. Westerse camera's worden hier vanzelfsprekend niet toegelaten, al is het zeer de vraag of de linkse Europese media enig interesse zouden hebben om hun jarenlang verkondigde leugens en anti-Israëlische propaganda te ontkrachten met beelden van de werkelijke situatie in Gaza.

Treffend beeld van de 'verschrikkelijke humanitaire crisis' in Gaza
En dan zijn daar nog het Al Deira Hotel, de befaamde Roots club, het olympisch zwembad en natuurlijk niet te vergeten, het Grand Palace Hotel, allemaal in het ‘concentratiekamp’ Gaza. Ruim 79% van de elektriciteit in Gaza is afkomstig van het Israelische elektriciteitsnet. Daarnaast wordt geen enkele Palestijn medische verzorging in Israel geweigerd. Zo houdt Israel een speciale corridor open voor het vervoer van medische patiënten vanuit Gaza, en ongeveer 200 leden medisch personeel leggen minstens elke maand een bezoek af aan Gaza om daar patiënten te helpen. In 2009 verlieten 10.544 patienten en hun begeleiders Gaza voor medische verzorging in Israel. Daarnaast vonden vanuit Gaza nog eens 382 evacuaties bij medische noodgevallen plaats. De Hadassah Medical Organization in Jeruzalem doneert jaarlijks 3 miljoen dollar hulpgelden om Palestijnen te behandelen in Israel. Sinds 2005 hebben Palestijnse terroristen 20 maal deze speciale regeling voor patienten uit Gaza misbruikt om aanslagen in Israel uit te voeren.
Tijdens een bezoek van de Britse premier David Cameron aan Turkije op 27 juli 2010 vergeleek hij Gaza met een gevangenenkamp. “De situatie in Gaza moet veranderen. Zowel humanitaire goederen als mensen moet in beide richtingen kunnen bewegen. Het kan niet en mag niet worden toegestaan dat Gaza een gevangenenkamp blijft” aldus Cameron. Ook de door de bureaucraten van de EU tot buitenlandcoördinator gebombardeerde Catharine Ashton, beperkt haar openbare optreden met felle uithalen naar Israel en roept de Joodse staat keer op keer op om de grenzen te openen voor de hongerlijdende en ondervoede bewoners van Gaza. http://israel-in-de-media.blogspot.com/2009/11/honger-en-schaarste-in-de-gaza-strook.html Tijdens haar eerste bezoek aan Gaza in het voorjaar van 2010 zei Ashton: ‘Als je van Israel in Gaza terecht komt, dan kom je van de 21e eeuw in een misvormd landschap terecht. Herbouw is onmogelijk omdat Israel de grenzen blokkeert. Mensen hebben nauwelijks meer tot hun beschikking dan de ruïnes om zich heen.’ De ruïnes worden door Hamas bewust in stand gehouden daarbij geholpen door de lokale VN-medewerkers, in wiens belang het is om een zo dramatisch mogelijk beeld over de situatie in Gaza naar buiten te brengen.
Een deel van de ruïnes zijn door Israel gebombardeerde opslagplaatsen voor bommen, raketten en ander oorlogstuig van de fascistische terreurorganisatie Hamas. Daarnaast zijn er de ruïnes van burgerwoningen die door Hamas zijn opgeblazen om de Israëlische militairen de opmars te beletten tijdens de oorlog in januari 2009. Ook zijn er ruïnes die zijn veroorzaakt door ‘bedrijfsongevallen’ zoals de enorme explosie die op 1 augustus 2010 het huis van de Hamas commandant Ala Adnef verwoeste waarbij 1 dode viel en 24 Palestijnen gewond raakten. Israel kreeg hiervan de schuld maar dat wordt door het IDF ontkend. Palestijnse bronnen melden dat men een bom aan het produceren was die plotseling explodeerde.
Ook komen er regelmatig zware gevechten voor tussen de verschillende terreurgroepen. Zo braken er op 14 augustus 2010 gevechten uit tussen Hamas en de terreurgroep Jund Ansar Allah. Hierbij kwamen tenminste 24 personen om het leven waaronder een meisje van 11 jaar, 12 leden van Jund Ansar Allah en 7 leden van Hamas. Daarnaast vielen 130 gewonden. Het geweld brak uit nadat de terreurgroep Jund Ansar Allah, die onder leiding stond van Abdel Latif Moussa tijdens een gebedsdienst in een moskee een zogenoemd islamitisch emiraat in de Gaza had uitgeroepen en daarmee een greep naar de macht had willen doen. Voor de moskee hadden zich tientallen bewapende en vermomde aanhangers van de groep opgesteld. Hamas nam aan het einde van de dienst in de moskee de groep onder vuur en gebruikte daarbij zelfs raketten. Kinderen stonden in het kruisvuur en omliggende huizen van burgers werden in puin geschoten. Abdel Lafit Moussa overleefde de strijd niet. Getuigen vertelden dat sommige leden van zijn groep in koelen bloede zijn vermoord. Journalisten die gewonden wilden interviewen in ziekenhuizen, werden door Hamas de toegang geweigerd. De gevechten waren de zwaarste sinds Hamas met harde hand het PLO-bewind van Abu Mazen uit Gaza verwijderde. Nu geen wereldwijde verontwaardiging over deze door Hamas gepleegde moordpartij! Dat gebeurt alleen wanneer ze door Israeli’s worden gedood. Dan is de wereld in rep en roer maar in dit geval, ach wat kan het ze schelen!

Zo maakt de media nieuws in Gaza
Deze zogenaamde “journalisten” zijn slechts stropoppen voor Hamas die dag en nacht klaar staan om op een teken van Hamas bereid zijn om het even wat te filmen of te fotograferen en graag wegkijken van taferelen waarvan Hamas niet wil dat ze op beeld worden vastgelegd (iets wat dikwijls voorkomt zeker als het om “onverklaarbare” explosies gaat en tegenstanders die van daken van flatgebouwen worden gegooid). Intussen gaat de leugenwinkel van Pallywood gewoon verder met haar sloopwerk van de waarheid. Elke dode in Gaza moet en zal een slachtoffer zijn van de Zionistische bezetter. Een oude man die sterft aan een beroerte, een vrouw die de bevalling van haar 13e kind niet overleefd, een jongen die tijdens het kwajongensspel uit de appelboom van de buurman valt en zijn nek breekt, worden door Hamas zonder onderscheid omgetoverd als slachtoffers van de Zionistische Bezetting als zijnde jihadisten en martelaars “voor de goede zaak”
Oude Palestijnse vrouwen en kinderen worden door Hamas gedwongen om te blijven leven in fake tentenkampen midden tussen de puinhopen om zo de Westerse journalisten en allerhande diplomaten te misleiden zodat Hamas kan laten zien hoe 'vreselijk' Israel met de bevolking is Gaza omgaat. Dat zorgt namelijk voor de constante toestroom van buitenlandse giften, én het houdt de banen van de honderden medewerkers van de diverse hulporganisaties in stand die met dit geld worden betaald. Dank u Washington, dank u Brussel en dank u belastingbetalers in het westen voor de gulle giften aan de diverse NGO’s (Niet Gouvernementele Organisaties). Daarnaast zijn deze ruïnes natuurlijk een dankbaar middel om de anti-Israel stemming in de wereld in stand houden. Ook noemde Ashton het oostelijk deel van Jeruzalem bezet gebied evenals de gebieden Samaria en Judea. ‘Europa is tegenstander van de constructie van huizen in deze gebieden, tegen de uitzetting van Arabische bewoners en tegen de bouw van het antiterreurhek.’ Natuurlijk zei mevrouw niets over de Palestijnse raketbeschietingen vanuit Gaza en de onwil van het PA/PLO regiem in Ram-allah en Hamas in Gaza om werkelijk over vrede te praten. Ashton is het volgende voorbeeld van Europese leiders die hun salaris verdienen met het vervloeken van de Joodse staat. De Britse leider van de Engelse Independence Party Nigel Farage zei over haar: 'zij heeft nog nooit een goede baan gehad, en is in haar leven nog nooit voor iets verkozen, dus ik denk dat zij daarom perfect voor deze Europese Unie is.

Bij ieder bezoek rammelt Ashton met de geldbuidel en schenkt zij tientallen miljoenen euro's aan de arme Palestijnen, bovenop de vele honderden miljoenen die jaarlijks richting Gaza worden gestuurd. Daar wordt dankbaar gebruik van gemaakt; allereerst verdwijnt een groot deel in de zakken van hoge Palestijnse officials, want corruptie is een algemeen geaccepteerde 'way of life' op de Gazastrook. Vervolgens wordt een minstens zo groot deel opzij gezet om Iraanse raketten, granaten en ander wapentuig te kopen om Israel mee te bestoken. En dat mag allemaal met toestemming van de kliek in Brussel en de Nederlandse regering. Van het geld dat over is wordt de wereldwijde antizionistische propaganda gefinancierd en worden soms ook 'leuke dingen voor de Palestijnen' gedaan, zoals het bouwen van ruime zwembaden en luxueuze winkelcentra, waar doodleuk kleren en andere goederen van de 'Zionistische vijand' Israel worden verkocht.

De UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) een instelling die de laatste 50 jaar verantwoordelijk is geweest voor de zogenaamde Palestijnse vluchtelingenkampen, heeft vastgesteld waar het de kinderen in Gaza het meest aan ontbreekt. En dat zijn laptops! Dus heeft de UNRWA beloofd om voor 2012 in totaal 500.000 laptops te leveren. Zomaar, voor niets. Kosten, ruim 23 miljoen euro.

Op 28 augustus 2008 ontving de Vittorio Arrigoni een Palestijns paspoort rechtstreeks uit de handen van Hamas terreurleider Ismail Haniyeh.
Op 27 Mei 2011, verklaarde Osama Hamdan, hoofd van het Hamas’ Departement voor Internationale Betrekkingen, dat de ‘gewapende confrontatie’ de ‘ruggengraat van het verzet’ zal blijven. Ahlam Tamimi, sentenced to 16 life sentences for her involvement in the "Sbarro" suicide bombing on 9 August 2001 in Jerusalem, says she had no regrets and stressed she would, given the opportunity, do it again.
"It was a calculated act, performed with conviction and faith in Allah," Tamini said in an interview posted on the Hamas website. "Jihad warriors are always ready to die as martyrs, to be arrested - or to succeed. I managed to overcome the barrier of prison and was released. Why should I repent?"
Of those terrorists who remain in prison after the Gilad Shalit deal, she said, "We left with our heads held high. All attempts to keep us in prison, and those who remain, will soon be forsaken."
Tamimi, who was deported to Jordan upon her release as a part of a deal to exchange 1,027 terrorists for kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit, added "resistance is the only way to liberate Palestine. Israel understands only the language of arms." .
Tamimi was a 20-year old university student at the time of Sbarro bombing. She disguised herself as a Jewish tourist and escorted suicide bomber Izz al-Din Shuheil al-Masri to the restaurant in order to draw suspicion away from him.
The Sbarro attack resulted 130 wounded and 15 killed. Information obtained during the raid on Osama Bin Laden's compound indicates Al Qaeda was planning attacks in American cities on significant dates, according to a rail security alert issued Thursday.
The DHS notice is the first such notice that can be linked to the early Monday morning raid on the Abbottabad, Pakistan compound in which the Al Qaeda leader was found and assassinated.
The notice said in February 2010 Al Qaeda members discussed a plan to derail trains in the US by placing obstructions on the tracks.
The plan was to be executed on 11 September 2011 - the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 Al Qaeda attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon that claimed a total of 2,977 innocent lives.
"It's not surprising that we would find this kind of information in the home of the world's most wanted terrorist," one US official told CNN.
DHS confirmed the notice went out to federal, state, local and tribal authorities.
"This alleged Al Qaeda plotting is based on initial reporting, which is often misleading or inaccurate and subject to change," DHS spokesman Matt Chandler told reporters.
"We have no information of any imminent terrorist threat to the US rail sector," Chandler clarified. "But we wanted to make our partners aware of the alleged plotting; it is unclear if any further planning has been conducted since February of last year."
During the raid ten hard drives, five computers, and more than 100 storage devices, such as disks and thumb-drives, were seized a senior official told CNN. Five mobile phones, paper documents and five firearms, including AK-47's and pistols, were also recovered.
US intelligence officials said Al Qaeda appeared especially interested in striking on significant dates like July 4, Christmas and the opening day of the United Nations.
Al Qaeda was particularly interested in striking Washington, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, the officials said.
One US official speaking to CNN on condition of anonymity said, "valuable information has been gleaned already."
Root of Bin Laden’s Terrorism: Hatred of Jews

Hatred of Jews and claims that the US “attacked” Muslims by “helping Jews occupy Palestine” were one of the reasons for Bin Laden’s anti-American terror. Hatred of the West and what it stands for played a much larger part, but Bin Laden, in true anti-Semitic tradition, tried to whip up anti- Jewish feeling by claiming that the Jews are one of the reasons for his terrorist acts. INN has researched the anti-Semitic angle.
The leader of the Al Qaeda terrorist network was responsible for the murder of hundreds of American soldiers and nearly 3,000 civilians who were killed in the 9/11 attacks in the United States. He hated America and the liberty and justice it represents.
Howver, Jews in Israel bore the brunt of incitement he whipped up over the years. His intense hatred of any non-Muslims touching what he considered to be Muslim property enraged him.
The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in the end of 1979 also drove him to lead terrorists to fight the “infidels.” His obsessive revulsion of a Jewish presence in Israel did the same.
In his “Letter to America” in 2002, after the 9/11 attacks, Bin Laden wrote, "Some American writers have published articles under the title 'On what basis are we fighting?'... Because you attacked us and continue to attack us. You attacked us in Palestine, which has sunk under military occupation for more than 80 years. The British handed over Palestine, with your help and your support, to the Jews, who have occupied it for more than 50 years; years overflowing with oppression, tyranny, crimes, killing, expulsion, destruction and devastation. The creation and continuation of Israel is one of the greatest crimes, and you are the leaders of its criminals.”
Bin Laden denied any Jewish connection to Israel: ”The people of Palestine are pure Arabs and original Semites. It is the Muslims who are the inheritors of Moses (peace be upon him) and the inheritors of the real Torah that has not been changed... If the followers of Moses have been promised a right to Palestine in the Torah, then the Muslims are the most worthy nation of this.”
His contorted logic allowed him to claim, contrary to reason and fact, as more and more Palestinian Authority clerics now argue as well, that Muslims actually lived in Israel long before the Muslim religion was founded. “When the Muslims conquered Palestine and drove out the Romans, Palestine and Jerusalem returned to Islam,” according to Bin Laden. In actual fact, the Romans had conquered Jerusalem from the Jews in the year 70 C.E., six centuries before Mohammed's founding of Islam.
Blaming American for supporting “atrocities” and “aggression” in Chechnya, Kashmir and Lebanon, Bin Laden also pointed the finger at Jews. “These governments have surrendered to the Jews, and handed them most of Palestine, acknowledging the existence of their state over the dismembered limbs of their own people,” he wrote.
He then reasoned that since Americans vote for their government freely, they “have chosen, consented to, and affirmed their support for the Israeli oppression of the Palestinians, the occupation and usurpation of their land, and its continuous killing, torture, punishment and expulsion of the Palestinians... The American people are the ones who pay the taxes which fund the planes that bomb us in Afghanistan, the tanks that strike and destroy our homes in Palestine... So the American people are the ones who fund the attacks against us…"
The United States would not have gained his approval had it abandoned Israel. According to Bin Laden, he would have stopped fighting if Americans were to accept Islam as their religion and then “stop your oppression, lies, immorality and debauchery that has spread among you.”
Hamas Says It Wants Calm; 15 More Shells Hit Israel

Hamas stated Wednesday evening that it wants to “restore calm” and indicated it is backing off from escalation in attacks as Israel makes it clear it will not tolerate terror.
Gaza-based terrorists fired 15 mortar shells at western Negev farming areas during the day, causing property damage but no injuries. The IDF has not yet retaliated for the latest barrage.
The de facto Hamas government in Gaza stated, "We stress that our constant position in the government is to protect stability and to work in order to restore the conditions on ground that used to be dominant in previous weeks.”
The statement was milder than Hamas position two days ago, when it demanded that Israel declare a ceasefire in return for restoration of quiet. However, Islamic Jihad terrorists threatened to continue the escalation of attacks, which have struck Be’er Sheva and south of Ashdod, increasing the chance of another all-out retaliation similar to the Operation Cast Lead counterterrorist campaign two years ago.
Amos Gilad, senior Defense Ministry adviser, said Wednesday night that Hamas will be making a “dramatic mistake” if it does not halt the rocket and mortar attacks on Israeli civilians and soldiers.
He also said that Hamas is inspired and encouraged by the recent uprisings in the Arab world.
Gilad said, “it is the responsibility of any government to protect civilians,” and that Israel will continue to do so.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, prior to leaving Wednesday night for a meeting with top officials in Moscow, stated, “We have set a clear policy on security, the essence of which is a vigorous response to any attempt to harm Israeli citizens, and systematic and assertive preventive measures against terrorism.”
He said that elements that have tried to violate the relative quiet since the end of Cast Lead. “They are trying to test our resolve and the fortitude of our people,” the Prime Minister continued. “They will learn that the government, the IDF and the Israeli public have an iron will to defend the state and its citizens.”
Concerning his trip to Russia, he said he “will discuss with them a series of bilateral and regional issues, as well as the search for a peace process with security and issues that are very important for Israel's security.”

Abu Obadiah, spokesman for the Izz al-Din al-Qassam military wing of the Hamas terrorist organization, confirmed predictions by nationalists that the expulsion of 9,000 Jews from Gush Katif and the withdrawal of the IDF from the area would be followed by an escalation in missile attacks.
He admitted for the first time that Hamas was responsible for the massacre of young men, most of them teenagers, at the yeshiva. The attack was carried out by a Jerusalem Arab.
Obadiah also said Hamas was responsible for the murder of seven other Jews in attacks in the Hevron area and Samaria. He also said that of the 1,808 Hamas terrorists killed since the founding of the terrorist group 23 years ago, 1,053 died after 2006, when Hamas won the first and only Palestinian Authority legislative elections.
The escalation of missile attacks on southern Israel after 2005, which brought the metropolitan Tel Aviv area within the range of attacks, surprised political leaders who had banked on the expulsion as the road to peace.
“I did not imagine that we would leave Gaza and they would fire Kassams from there,” President Shimon Peres commented in July 2008.
PA: Hamas Plans 'Civil War' in Judea, Samaria

Seventeen rockets and two rocket launchers were recently seized from the hands of Hamas men in Ramallah, a spokesman for the Palestinian Authority security forces said Wednesday. Reports did not specify what kind of rockets these were.
Adnan Damiri, spokesman for the security forces in Judea and Samaria, told a news conference in Ramallah that the security forces discovered Hamas arms caches and money in both Ramallah and Shechem in recent weeks. These were not intended to be used against Israel, Damiri said, but against the PA, in order to undermine its rule in Judea and Samaria.
Hamas was plotting to "start a civil war" in Judea and Samaria, he claimed.
Senior Hamas official Mousa Abu Marzouk said in statements from Damascus Wednesday that the organization will not hold any talks with Fatah before the release of Hamas prisoners held in PA jails.
"We cannot hold any reconciliation talks in light of the current conditions in the Palestinian Authority " he said, according to a report on EarthTimes. "Fatah and the PA have to release the prisoners who are on hunger strike in its jails."
Damiri, on his side, said the Hamas prisoners have ended their hunger strike and were treated well.
Police: Fatal Attack on Christian Women was Terror

Police have imposed a gag order on the stabbing of two Christian women near the city of Beit Shemesh on Saturday, but said Thursday they believe the stabbing was a terrorist attack. Earlier police had said the incident may have been criminally motivated.
No terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the fatal attack.
The victims, both Christian missionaries, had been hiking in the Jerusalem Forest when they were attacked by two Arab men bearing knives. American Kristine Luken was killed, and an Israeli immigrant from Britain, Kay Wilson, was badly hurt.
Wilson told police that she survived the brutal attack Saturday by pretending to be dead. She was stabbed multiple times with a large serrated knife.
At one point, she said, one of the Arab attackers ripped off a Star of David necklace she was wearing and then stabbed her in the chest where the star – which traditionally symbolizes Jewish identity – had lain.
After the attackers left she was unable to call for help, as her severe injuries left her struggling for breath. However, she managed to stand and walk toward a nearby town, and found two families near the road who called for help.
A memorial will be held for Luken on Thursday in a church in the Old City of Jerusalem. Luken, who will be buried in the United States, worked as the head of the British branch of Church Ministry among Jewish people (CMJ).
Doctors say Wilson is recovering, and may even be released from the hospital by the weekend. She is an educator for Shoresh Tours, a CMJ branch that runs tours in Israel.
Arabs Murder American Woman; Manhunt for Killers

Police early Sunday morning found the body of Christine Logan, who held an American passport, 16 hours after two Arabs stabbed her and wounded a friend. Police have clamped a gag order on the murder, which authorities now believe was a terrorist attack. Earlier, they were equally suspicious that the attack was criminal, although they still have not ruled the possibility.
Logan and British immigrant Kaye Susan Wilson, a tour guide, hiked in a dry river bed near Beit Shemesh, west of Jerusalem, after Wilson had completed a tour with a group. Although Wilson's and Logan's names do not sound Jewish, their religion is not known. Wilson rents a home at the religious-secular Givat Ze'ev community, located west of Jerusalem on Highway 443. Logan's residence is not known at this time.
Wilson may have saved her own life by pretending she was dead until the attackers left the scene after stabbing her in her back and stomach. She told police that two Arabs had bound her hands and that after they left, she reached a nearby parking lot, where passersby called for an ambulance and police.
Wilson was rushed to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in Jerusalem, where she was treated for serious wounds and is in the ICU, but her life is not in danger.
A paramedic rescued the dog of one the two victims of the Arab attack.
In a separate incident, police arrested an Arab who recently was freed from prison and tried to stab a woman near the entrance to Hadassah Mount Scopus hospital. Authorities said the man pulled out a knife and chased his intended victim, who ran towards security guards at the hospital entrance while police were alerted and arrived at the scene to arrest him.
The terrorist said he was trying to erase suspicions raised by friends who suspected he cooperates with Israel to help fight terror.
Elsewhere, the IDF denied any knowledge of the drowning of a Gaza fisherman whom Hamas authorities said was fired on by the Israeli navy.
Foreign news services routinely report Arab claims of Israeli incursions that the IDF says never happened. The French news service AFP quoted a Gaza hospital spokesman that the navy opened fire on fishing boats, one of which supposedly overturned, resulting in the drowning of an Arab teenager.
Military spokesmen previously have told Israel National News that many reported incidents are fabricated, and they said they knew nothing about navy firing on Arab fishermen on Saturday.

Terrorist Murderers of American Tourist Get Life Sentences

A terrorist who was convicted of the murders of U.S. tourist Christine Luken (Logan) and Zichron Ya'akov resident Neta Blatt Sorek was sentenced to two life sentences, plus an additional 60 years in prison.
The terrorist, Kafah Ghanimat, headed a gang of three terrorists who committed not only those murders, but a long list of other crimes, including burglary, assault, theft, arms trafficking, as well as attempting to murder other victims, but failing. Among the latter was Kaye Wilson, a friend of Luken's whom the terrorists tried to kill, was left for dead but survived. Wilson, a tour guide, was badly injured in the attack.
Kafah's brother, Ibrahim Ghanimat, was also convicted of the murder of Sorek, and was sentenced to life imprisonment plus 16 years. Luken was killed in December 2010 in the Mata Forest near Jerusalem, where she had been hiking with Wilson. Sorek was murdered near the Beit Jamal Monastery outside Beit Shemesh in February 2010, also while taking a hike.
Police had initially ascribed the death of the mother of one to suicide, a conjecture vehemently denied by the family, and eventually rejected as a theory by police after they collected further evidence.
The two were arrested several days after murdering Luken, after an intensive investigation by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet). The two confessed to the murders under questioning, and the investigation yielded forensic evidence, including a small knife that Wilson had stabbed the terrorists with in an attempt to defend herself.
Wilson testified during the trial, describing details of the attack; how the terrorists snuck up on the two women, binding and gagging them, and stabbing them multiple times. Wilson played dead and managed to survive, describing how she dragged herself to a nearby parking lot to inform someone of what had happened – and telling the court, in tears, of how she left her friend to die alone.
Hamas Reveals that Arafat Gave Green Light for 2000 War

Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Yasser Arafat, predecessor to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas as head of Fatah, gave the green light to Hamas for the so-called “Second Intifada,” actually a terror war of unprecedented magnitude that began in 2000, the terrorist organization admitted.
Mahmoud al-Zahar, Hamas foreign policy advisor and perhaps its most senior member after de facto Gaza Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, made the revelation during a special meeting in Gaza marking the 10th anniversary of what also is known sarcastically as the Oslo War in an allusion to the Oslo Peace Accords that preceded it. Over a thousand Israeli civilians were murdered, including many defenseless,unsuspecting elderly people, women and children, in the ensuing terrorist tidal wave.
It was the first time Hamas has stated that Arafat, who like his successor was championed by the American government as Israel’s “peace partner,” gave instructions to Hamas to break two years of relative quiet and launch what evolved into a decade of suicide bombings and deadly rocket attacks.
Haniyeh also spoke at the meeting, but foreign news services reported only his praise of the intifada while totally omitting any reference to al-Zahar’s statement on Arafat’s coalition with Hamas terrorists.
Haniyeh lauded the Arab violence, known by the code word ”resistance", and said that one of its achievements was the expulsion of Jews and the withdrawal of all IDF forces from Gaza five years ago. "The intifada restored the dignity of the Palestinian people and brought them closer to victory and liberation," he said during a special meeting of his government.
"Our people will not hand over their weapons nor stop the resistance because it is our legitimate right as long as there is an occupation," he added.
Haniyeh’s speech coincides with reports from Arab media that Fatah and Hamas are close to breaching the gaps that broke up their unity government three years ago when Hamas terror forces overpowered their Fatah counterparts in Gaza.
Islamic Jihad boasted of its part in the Oslo War, claiming it has fired 3,205 rockets and mortar shells at Israeli civilians and soldiers and has carried out 126 suicide attacks or attempts, including suicide bombings.
Al-Qaeda Bombing Plot Foiled

Two women have been arrested in Yemen in connection with an apparent Al-Qaeda plot to blow up either an airplane or a Chicago synagogue – or both.
Two synagogues in Chicago were the addresses of explosives packages sent from Yemen and discovered en-route in the United Arab Emirates and Britain. One, discovered at a British airport, contained enough explosives to bring down an airplane, according to British Home Secretary Theresa May. The other, found in Dubai, the UAE's largest city, was similarly powerful.
The plot was uncovered when police were informed of the possibility of an explosive device in packages aboard a FedEx flight to Dubai. The Saudi Arabian government provided the tracking numbers of the packages, which were then tracked down and neutralized.
Yemeni sources, including a government official, said that a woman believed to be connected to the plot had been arrested in Sanaa,Yemen's capital, where the packages originated. It was later announced that the woman's mother was also arrested.
It is not clear where the bombs were meant to be detonated. "We believe that the device was designed to go off on the airplane," British Prime Minister David Cameron said, but added that there can be no certainty where this was to take place – or whether the terrorists themselves would have been able to know where the bomb was at any given time.
CNN reported that a U.S. law enforcement official said that all the packages from Yemen that authorities were looking for have been found and "no longer pose a threat." Yemen is the stronghold of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
The bombs contained PETN, a highly explosive organic compound used in last year's would-be bombing of a Northwest Airlines flight near Detroit. It is estimated that each bomb contained some 400 grams of PETN – nearly 70 times the amount needed to blow a hole in the fuselage of an aircraft.
U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano said the plot appears to be an Al-Qaeda scheme. "We know that the perpetrators of this -- and it has the hallmarks of al Qaeda, the AQAP -- they are constantly trying things to test our system," she said.
The bombs, packed in toner cartridges and designed to be detonated by a cell phone, were connected via electric circuit to a mobile phone chip tucked in a printer.
U.S. President Obama thanked King Abdullah for Saudi Arabia's key role in disrupting the plot, the White House announced, while a Yemen Embassy spokesman in Washington said that Yemen is cooperating with the U.S. and England in investigating the plot. Obama's counterterrorism advisor John Brennan spoke to Yemeni President Ali Abdallah Saleh, stressing "the importance of close counterterrorism cooperation, including the need to work together on the ongoing investigation into the events over the past few days."
Meanwhile, Jewish organizations in England have been placed on high alert.
Hamas Threatens to 'Step on Heads' of PA for Talks with Israel

The military wing of the Hamas terrorist organization that controls Gaza has threatened to “step on the heads” of the PA government if it compromises on Jerusalem and other issues in direct talks with Israel.
Khalil al-Haya, a leader of the Izz a-Din al-Qassam Brigades, announced Saturday in Gaza that the group would “step on the heads of those who dare cede the right of return, Jerusalem and Palestine.”
Hamas Won't Recognize Any Agreement
Al-Haya said the talks, set to take place September 2 in Washington D.C., would give Israel the excuse to “wipe away the Palestinian presence, continue Judaizing Jerusalem, continue building settlements and erase the Palestinian right of return.”
He called on PA Arabs to “rise up” against the talks and against the Ramallah-based PA negotiators who are set to travel to the United States. PA Chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas does not “represent Palestine, Jerusalem, the refugees, or al-Aqsa,” Al-Haya said.
He added that Hamas would not agree to recognize any agreement signed by “the Zionist enemy,” and vowed to “prepare for the final battle until your banishment from Palestine.”
Who is Al-Haya?
A senior member of the Hamas leadership, Al-Haya was one of three survivors of the five top leaders, and the first to resurface, following the group's defeat in Israel's counter terrorism Operation Cast Lead war in the winter of 2008-2009.
“We promised to come out to you either as martyrs or as victors,” Al-Haya told supporters at a January 30, 2009 rally. “Today I come out to you, and you are victors.” A year earlier, Al-Haya bragged to reporters in Gaza of his family's track record as martyrs for jihad against Israel.
“This is the 10th member of my family to receive the honor of martyrdom,” he proudly told an AFP news reporter while kissing his son's bloody head in a Gaza morgue; his son had been killed in an IAF air strike while leading a terror cell launching a rocket attack at southern Israel. “I thank G-d for this gift,” he said.
Al-Haya himself has escaped several assassination attempts, including one by the IAF in 2007, when an IAF air strike killed two of his brothers and six other relatives in one of the family homes.
“This is part of our people's path, and G-d willing, our people will achieve victory,” Al-Haya said at the time.

Al Qaeda Cleric Encourages Arab Cooperation with Turkey, Iran

A longtime bin Laden confidante had some interesting things to say last week.
There have been pro-flotilla rallies throughout the Muslim world and some of them have been attended by especially notorious figures. Consider the rallies in Yemen. On June 1, thousands gathered to denounce Israel. Another rally, where the attendees sang chants praising Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was held this past weekend. In attendance at both rallies was Sheikh Abdul Majeed al Zindani.
Sheikh Zindani is a longtime confidant of Osama bin Laden and was designated a terrorist in 2004. The Yemeni regime has defied requests by the U.S. Government to deport him or otherwise hold him accountable. Zindani’s roots inside Yemen run deep. He is the spiritual head of the Islamist Islah party, which frequently supports President Saleh and has strong ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Zindani himself is a Muslim Brother.
As Jonathan Schanzer also pointed out last week, the red-bearded Zindani is a top official at a “charity” named the Union of Good. This same Hamas-backed organization spawned the IHH – the Turkish “charity” responsible for organizing the flotilla.
During last week’s rallies in Yemen, the well-connected Zindani had some noteworthy things to say.
According to the Yemen Observer, Zindani chastised Arab weakness in response to Israel: “Israel has ignored our weakened governments so much, and has done all these dirty actions with no consideration to the Arab governments.”
Zindani added: “I salute Amr [Moussa] for the initiative that he suggested. The initiative of Neighboring Countries Nexus, which gather countries like Turkey and Iran with the Arab countries.”
This is a remarkable statement.
For the past few months, Amr Moussa, the secretary general of the Arab League, has been pushing an agenda of dialogue and cooperation (when possible) between the Arab states, Iran, and Turkey. (See here and here. For reporting from Iran on Moussa’s proposition, see here and here.)
Moussa has cited Iran’s burgeoning nuclear capability as a reason for the Arab states to find common ground with the mullahs. That is, there is a palpable angst throughout the Middle East as Arab leaders assume it is only a matter of time until Iran gets the bomb.
Moussa would prefer for the Arab states to engage the mullahs now in order to lesson tensions and explore whatever common ground there may be. That common ground includes, of course, opposition to Israel. As press accounts have noted, Moussa’s plan could help undermine any efforts by the U.S. to isolate the Iranian regime.
Moussa’s vision has not yet come to fruition, however. Still, he continues to push for it and has received some support. In particular, both Turkey and Iran have been receptive on at least a superficial level.
And, interestingly enough, Sheikh Zindani has now spoken up to lend his support to the effort. It is worth recalling the details of Zindani’s terrorist dossier. According to the U.S. Treasury Department, in a 2004 press release entitled “United States Designates bin Laden Loyalist”:
AL-ZINDANI has a long history of working with bin Laden, notably serving as one of his spiritual leaders. In this leadership capacity, he has been able to influence and support many terrorist causes, including actively recruiting for al-Qaeda training camps. Most recently, he played a key role in the purchase of weapons on behalf of al-Qaeda and other terrorists.
AL-ZINDANI also served as a contact for Ansar al-Islam (Al), a Kurdish-based terrorist organization linked to al-Qaeda, which is included in the UN 1267 sanctions Committee list.
Many analysts pretend that the Muslim world can be carved up into neat, self-contained boxes, with the Shiite state of Iran in one box and Sunni states in another (or others). Likewise, some analysts pretend that al Qaeda could never collude with the Shiite mullahs, despite a long evidentiary record that leads to precisely the opposition conclusion.
Here we have a significant additional piece of data.
Isn’t it interesting that a notorious Islamist sheikh, who has been close to Osama bin Laden for decades, would openly praise the idea of collaboration (on some level) between the Arab states, Turkey and Iran? And this, he claims, is necessary to counter their common foe -- Israel.
PA Gov't Supports Violence Against Israel - in Arabic

The Palestinian Authority is continuing to express its support for violence against Israeli citizens in Arabic-language media, despite English-language propaganda insisting the PA wants peace. The interview, broadcast August 6 on PA TV (Fatah), was translated by the media watchdog Palestinian Media Watch (PMW).

Senior Fatah Central Committee member Jibril Rajoub, a leading PA government official, reiterated the faction's support for “armed struggle” in the interview. “At the [sixth Fatah] Conference, we affirmed the struggle in all its forms, including resistance and the armed struggle... We agreed on it unanimously, about both the movement's aims and its principles, including the resistance and the armed struggle,” he said.
“The [armed] struggle, as we see it, is not an aim; it is not a hike or a pleasure cruise. [Armed] resistance has circumstances, considerations, and factors – whether national, regional or international. It must cause pain to the Occupation; it must be connected to a political platform,” Rajoub explained.
Former PA Prime Minister Ahmad Qureia (Abu Ala), who currently serves as the PA's chief negotiator, said in an interview published one day earlier in the London-based Arabic daily newspaper Al Sharq Al-Awsat that “all options are open,” including armed resistance.
“Negotiators, political activity, popular activity, and [armed] resistance... we must continue with it,” Qureia said, adding that all of the options were viable. “And if [resistance] gives me [benefit] without costing me, yes,” that option is also a good one, he said.
Both men echoed sentiments expressed earlier in the summer by Nabil Shaath, a member of the PA Parliament, a Fatah “Commissioner of Foreign Relations” and a member of the Fatah Central Committee.
In two separate interviews with Arabic-language media in June (Al-Dustur daily newspaper in Jordan, and Al-Hayat Al-Jadida in the PA), Shaath underscored the PA's commitment to violence against Israel.
“The Palestinian people has the right to defend itself, and it has the right to act in the way of the armed struggle. We have acted in this way for 100 years,” he said in the interview with Al-Hayat Al-Jadida. “Fatah led [the armed struggle] for 23 years, and Hamas adopted it for 15 years. We are proud of all of our Shahids (martyrs) and it is our right to return to the armed conflict whenever we view that as being in our people's interest.”
Abbas Eulogizes Munich Massacre Mastermind

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has euologized Abu Dauod, the mastermind of the massacre of 11 Israeli athletes at the Munch Olympics in 1972 and who died Saturday. “He is missed. He was one of the leading figures of Fatah and spent his life in resistance and sincere work as well as physical sacrifice for his people's just causes,” said Abbas.
Dauod, a former commander of the Fatah party that Abbas now heads, died late Friday night as the age of 73.
Abbas’ eulogy and praise for the planner of the murders came less than a month after he told American Jewish leaders in Washington that he will work to stop incitement of violence against Jews. Abbas provided the funds for the Munich massacre, according to Dauod.
The Black September gang said it received its orders from Fatah, which denied involvement in the massacre.
The Munch murder gang consisted of masked terrorists who stormed the apartments where Israeli athletes were staying in the Olympic Village. The terrorists took the athletes as hostages and demanded the release of 200 Arabs from Israeli prisons.
By the time the attack was over, the Israeli athletes were killed, along with one German officer and five of the terrorists. Daoud and one other member of the gang survived.
The Games continued after several hours.
Dauod said in interviews four years ago that he does not regret the massacre. “You can only dream that I would apologize,” he said.

Ongoing Palestinian Terrorism: 5 Dead, 232 Hurt in 6 Months

The Yeshanews.com website has prepared a detailed summary of Palestinian terrorism against Israelis in the first six months of 2010. The picture is not as serene as a quick, occasional glance at daily newspapers, or even a detailed perusal thereof, might provide.
In short, five people -- a civilian Thai worker, a policeman and three soldiers -- were murdered. Two Israelis were critically wounded, nine were moderately wounded, and 232 were lightly hurt in terror attacks or while fighting against terrorists.
A total of 139 rockets were fired during the six months, while 130 Arabs were apprehended with knives, of whom 22 admitted intending to perpetrate a terror attack. There were 60 shooting attacks, bombs, missiles fired, and attempted infiltrations at the Gaza border fence.
There were three documented attacks in which Arab drivers attempted to run down Israelis in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem; four people were lightly hurt. Other such attacks have been suspected, but as yet not proven.
Thirty-eight bombs were discovered throughout Judea and Samaria, while 218 people were hurt in rock attacks and Arab violence, including 56 civilians, among them three children.
Over this period, the Israel Air force attacked eight arms tunnels, a weapons factory, four terror bases, four munitions storage areas, and three terrorist cells engaged in shooting rockets. A total of 12 terrorists were killed and one was critically wounded. The Israeli marines killed six terrorists planning an attack from the sea, and altogether three terrorist infiltrations were prevented.
At least six incidents of vandalism against cemeteries have been documented, including three against the ancient Jewish cemetery in Hevron and the destruction of 23 gravestones on the Mt. of Olives.

Iran:Training and Arming Terrorist Groups that Target Israel

The Islamic Republic of Iran is the world’s chief sponsor of terrorism. Its Qods Force, an elite unit of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) – a branch of the Iranian military – has a long history of supporting terrorist organizations targeting Israel.
Iran provides funding, material support, training and intelligence services to its three main proxies, Hezbollah, Hamas Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command (PFLP-GC). These terrorist groups, which share the same basic ideological goals as Iran’s leadership, are extensions of Iran’s military network. They act as proxies for Tehran by attacking Israeli targets while providing plausible deniability for the Iranian government on the international stage.
Iranian funding of Hezbollah
- Iran has provided Hezbollah with weapons, funding, guidance, and intelligence, transferring over $200 million to Hezbollah annually, in addition to an estimated $300 million after Israel’s defensive war with Hezbollah in 2006.
- The Qods force has trained at least 4,500 Hezbollah fighters in the use of anti-aircraft missiles, anti-tank missiles, surface-to-surface missiles and rockets, and unmanned aerial vehicles at camps inside Iran, and actively operates training facilities in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley.
- Iranian aid to Hezbollah increased after Israel’s withdrawal from Lebanon in 2000 as Hezbollah expanded its military force in preparation for conflict. These preparations culminated in Hezbollah’s illegal cross-border attack on an Israeli border patrol in July 2006, sparking the 34-day Hezbollah-Israel war.
- Hussein Ali Suleiman, a member of Hezbollah involved in the July 2006 abduction of Israeli reservists Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser, admitted being trained in Iran along with 40-50 other Hezbollah members.
- Iran has been rearming Hezbollah since the end of the 2006 war. It is estimated that Hezbollah now has roughly 40,000 rockets and missiles in its possession – 26,000 more than before Israel’s defensive war against Hezbollah, according to Israeli intelligence reports. The newly replenished arsenal includes about 10,000 long distance rockets. Almost all of Israel is within range of these rockets.
- Hezbollah has 500 Iranian “Zelzal” long-range missiles with ranges of 77, 136 and 186 miles, and an additional 4,000-6,000 Iranian “Fajr 3” and “Fajr 5” rockets with ranges of 27 and 46 miles respectively. Iranian missile supplies generally reach Hezbollah in Lebanon by sea or overland routes via Syria, though Iran is also transporting arms to Hezbollah by air using both civilian and military aircraft. Some of the longer range missiles, capable of reaching southern Israel from Beirut, are clandestinely transported through Turkey. May 2008, the Turkish army found a concealed weapons shipment, including rockets, missiles, guns and ammunition, en route from Iran to Syria intended for Hezbollah.
Iranian funding of Hamas
- Iran has openly admitted its support for Hamas, an Islamic Palestinian group committed to the destruction of Israel and the replacement of the Palestinian Authority with an Islamic state on “every inch of Palestine.”
- From 1993-2006, Iran’s financial support of Hamas was estimated at $30 million annually.t has increased to several hundred million annually since then.
- Since Hamas’ January 2006 electoral victory, funding has increased significantly. In April 2006, Iran pledged $50 million in aid to Hamas. November 2006, Iran donated $120 million to Hamas.
- December 2006, Iran pledged an additional $250 million to the terrorist organization. May 2008, Iran promised another $150 million to Hamas for the second half of 2008.
- In addition, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has trained approximately 950 Hamas operatives in building rockets and bombs, tactical warfare, weapons operation, sniper tactics, explosives detonation, and other terrorist and guerilla warfare techniques, similar to those commonly used by Hezbollah. The training has taken place in Iran and Syria.
- In 2008, Iran assisted Hamas in upgrading its mortar shell arsenal for attacks on Israeli communities bordering Gaza.
- In the past two-and-a-half years, dozens of Iranian-manufactured Grad rockets and mortar shells have been launched from Gaza at areas in Israel’s western Negev region and the city of Ashkelon. In a meeting with Hamas Political Bureau Chief Khaled Meshaal in May 2008, Iran promised to provide Hamas with long-range missiles. Both Iran and Hamas claimed that they would amass arms regardless of any peace negotiations between Israel and Syria.
- In January 2009, more than 70,000 Iranian college students from universities throughout Iran volunteered to serve as suicide bombers to carry out attacks against Israel. This rush of volunteerism came after Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khameini, delivered a religious decree stating that anyone who carried out an attack against Israel on behalf of Palestinians in Gaza would be considered a martyr.
Iranian funding of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ)
- Iran is directly involved in providing financing, guidance and military training to PIJ, a Palestinian terrorist organization committed to Israel’s destruction and the establishment of an Islamic Palestinian state.
- PIJ is funded almost exclusively by Iran and receives most of its material support from the Qods force, a unit of Iran’s Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution that focuses on organizing and executing Islamic revolutionary movements abroad.
- PIJ officials live in Syria but keep a permanent representative in Iran, and travel there frequently to strengthen its ties with the Islamic Republic. In 2001, Ayatollah Ali Khameini pledged to increase Iran’s funding of PIJ by 70 percent to recruit young Palestinians for suicide attacks in Israel. PIJ has carried out 422 bombings, shootings, and stabbings, killing 134 Israelis and wounding 880.
- A Palestinian intelligence official revealed that Iran promised a $10,000 reward if PIJ launched an attack from the West Bank to Tel Aviv.
- In 2003, PIJ became one of the first terrorist organizations to use women as suicide bombers.
- In 2005, Iran provided $10 million to the PIJ, double the amount from 2004.
Iranian funding of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - General Command (PFLP-GC)
- The PFLP-GC is a secular Palestinian organization with a strong military focus that rejects any political settlement with Israel. The PFLP-GC began receiving funds from Iran after it was expelled from Libya in 1989.
- The PFLP-GC’s relationship with Iran is primarily for purposes of transferring arms to Hamas and the PIJ, though it also operates Iranian training camps in Syria and Lebanon.
- In September 2006 the U.S. Treasury Department blacklisted Saderat, one of Iran’s largest banks, citing the transfer of funds to the PFLP-GC, among other terrorist organizations.
Other Iran-financed attacks against Israeli civilians:
- In 2002 the Israel Navy intercepted "Karin A," a ship carrying 50 tons of advanced weaponry and rockets supplied by Iran and Hezbollah that was destined for Gaza to supply Palestinian terrorist groups.
- In April 2003, Iranian money designated for charity paid for a terror attack outside of a train station in the Tel Aviv suburb of Kfar Saba. When security guards who were suspicious of the terrorist asked for documents, the terrorist detonated the bomb. The attack killed one Israeli and injured 14 others.
- In January 2003, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard funded a suicide attack in Tel Aviv through Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, military wing of Fatah under Arafat’s authority at the time.The attack in the central bus station of Tel Aviv killed 22 Israeli and foreign civilians and injured more than 100 others.
- In April 2008, the Israel Defense Forces arrested Iranian-trained terrorist and would-be suicide bomber Ala Abu Madif, in southern Gaza. Madif had been involved in missile launches into Israel’s western Negev region and was planning to carry out a suicide bombing at the Kissufim crossing between Israel and Gaza. In Iran, Madif underwent physical training, navigation, weapons training (including light and heavy weapons operation, anti-tank weapons and hand grenades), target practice, assembly and operation of explosive devices and indoctrination lessons teaching Israel and the U.S. as the sources of evil.

Terwijl Israël op 29 november de dag herdacht waarin in 1947 het eind van het Britse mandaat over het aloude Bijbelse land werd ingeluid en het begin van Israëls onafhankelijkheid, werd in het VN hoofdkwartier in New York de “Internationale Dag van Solidariteit met het ‘Palestijnse’ volk” gehouden. Vanaf 1977 staat de Algemene Vergadering van de Verenigde Naties jaarlijks -in een tweedaagse zitting - stil bij deze datum. Op 20 november 1947 stelde de VN in VN-resolutie 181 een deling voor van het gebied tussen de Middellandse Zee en de rivier de Jordaan in een Joodse en Arabische staat, waarbij Jeruzalem onder internationaal toezicht geplaatst zou worden. Deze niet bindende resolutie werd met 33 tegen 13 stemmen en tien onthoudingen aangenomen. Het plan werd door de Joden geaccepteerd maar door de Arabische Liga http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_League verworpen. In resolutie 181 wordt Israël maar liefst dertig keer als Joodse staat benoemd en is er geen sprake van een Palestijnse staat. De VN is al jaren bezig deze geschiedenis te herschrijven door het aan de Arabieren toegewezen deel te veranderen in een aan de Palestijnen toegewezen deel.
De jaarlijks terugkerende zittingen van de VN op 29 november staan werkelijk bol van de anti-Israëlische debatten en het promoten van een Palestijnse staat. Daarnaast vinden hoorzittingen plaats over het ‘recht’ van de Palestijnen op de stad Jeruzalem. In 2005 schoffeerde de voormalige baas en ceremoniemeester van de VN Kofi Annan Israël op een werkelijk schandalige manier door op het podium tussen de vlag van de VN en die van de moslimterreurorganisatie PLO, een kaart op te hangen met daarop in het Arabisch geschreven “Palestina” met inbegrip van het land dat de VN in 1947 aan Israël heeft toegewezen. Internationale “Dag van Solidariteit met het Palestijnse volk” 2005
De kaart toont zelfs niet de demarcatie lijn van 29 november 1947, markerend een Joodse naast een Arabische Staat. De opdeling van het aloude Bijbelse land is destijds door de VN zelf zo besloten, maar dat is op deze kaart niet terug te zien. Bij de start van de bijeenkomst vroeg Annan de aanwezigen een minuut stilte in acht te nemen. “Ik nodig iedereen uit om op te staan en een minuut stilte in acht te nemen voor allen die hun leven hebben gegeven voor de zaak van het ‘Palestijnse’ volk” aldus Annan. De VN baas honoreerde hiermee voor het front van de hele wereld, het PA/PLO regiem dat de meest gruwelijke moordpartijen op onschuldige Israëlische burgers op hun geweten heeft.
Waar geen enkele organisatie nog aan herinnerd wil worden is dat VN Resolutie 181 volledig in strijd is met het Handvest van de Volkerenbond http://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/leagcov.asp waarin dit gebied in z’n geheel aan Israël is toegewezen en zelfs door de VN in Artikel 49 is bekrachtigd. Het Handvest van de Volkerenbond is derhalve nog steeds internationaal rechtsgeldig maar de VN, Europa en de rest van de wereldgemeenschap doen net alsof ze van niets weten. 25 Europese landen onderschreven destijds deze resolutie als bindend.
In de huidige politieke debatten over het Israëlisch-Palestijns conflict zijn geen sporen meer terug te vinden van deze resolutie en de oorlog die door de Arabieren werd ontketend in de nasleep van het Verdeelplan in 1947. Ook heeft men de meer dan 800.000 Joodse vluchtelingen uit diverse Arabische landen in het Midden Oosten landen simpelweg genegeerd in een politiek klimaat dat er slechts op gericht is Israël te kwalificeren als de kwaadaardige agressor, terwijl de Palestijnen in de rol van de ongelukkige slachtoffers worden gegoten. De knuffelgevoelens van de wereldleiders voor de namaak Filistijnen is ronduit verbijsterend.
De Verenigde Naties, de internationale media en de wereldleiders hebben de geschiedenis van Israël zo grondig herschreven dat de Joodse staat vandaag van apartheid wordt beschuldigd vanwege de zogeheten bezetting van Palestijns land. In zijn boek “History Upside Down” http://www.meforum.org/2076/history-upside-down verteld historicus David Meir-Levi hoe het nazi-fascisme voedsel gaf aan de Jodenhaat in de Arabische wereld en hoe succesvol Israëls tegenstanders zijn geweest de Joodse staat als een pariastaat neer te zetten. Hoe antisemieten erin zijn geslaagd de geschiedenis van het Midden-Oosten volledig te verdraaien ten gunste van het meedogenloze PA/PLO Regiem. Vorig jaar beschuldigde tijdens de dag van solidariteit de voormalige president van de General Assembly, Miguel d'Escoto, Israël van apartheid. Ieder jaar worden er tijdens deze bijeenkomst 20 anti-Israël resoluties aangenomen.

Zelfs een oppervlakkig onderzoek van deze Conventie maakt duidelijk dat het bestaan en de oprichting van de nederzettingen in Samaria en Judea juridisch volkomen legaal is. Het Israelische nederzettingenbeleid is dus niet een inbreuk op de diverse resoluties. Wat ook wettelijk is is dat Israel de nodige maatregelen mag treffen om de veiligheid van haar onderdanen te handhaven. Dat er Joden wonen in Hebron, Gush Etzion en de Joodse wijk in het oostelijk deel van Jeruzalem is eveneens juridisch conform het internationale recht. Geen enkele resolutie verbiedt Israël te bouwen in de ‘betwiste gebieden’.
Telkens opnieuw wordt Israel belasterd en de legitimiteit van de Joodse staat ontkent ten gunste van een Palestijns volk dat in werkelijkheid niet bestaat. Het is niet politiek correct om dit soort uitspraken aan te halen want dat benadeelt de zaak voor de Palestijnen. Iedereen die solidariteit betoont met de Palestijnen, wordt beschouwd als een nobele verdediger van de mensenrechten. Ook de Palestijnen zelf bestoken de wereldleiders en de media met de meest fantastische fabels over hun geschiedenis. Volgens Ibrahim Abdullah Sarsur een Arabisch lid van de Knesset, zijn ‘de Palestijnen de Arabische Jebusieten’. De Jebusieten zouden de stad Jeruzalem hebben gebouwd, die Al-Quds heette voordat de Joden het land binnendrongen. De volkenlijst in (Genesis 10:17) maakt duidelijk dat de Jebusieten van Kanaän afkomstig zijn, de kleinzoon van Cham, en dus geen Arabieren zijn. Met deze onzin verhalen willen ze bewijzen dat de Joden historisch gezien geen aanspraak op Jeruzalem kunnen maken omdat de Palestijnen van de Jebusieten zouden afstammen en daarmee bewijzen dat zij de oudste rechten hebben op Israëls aloude stad. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/133800
Zo proberen ze de wereld te beïnvloeden ter ondersteuning van hun aanspraak op het land en de Joodse historische claim op het land ondertuit te halen. Zij die enige kennis van Bijbelse zaken hebben weten dat de in de Bijbel genoemde volkeren al lang van de aardbodem verdwenen zijn. Niet iedere Palestijn gelooft echter in het sprookje dat ze afstammen van de in de Bijbel genoemde volkeren. Arabisch filosoof Azmi Bishara zei een paar jaar geleden: ‘er bestaat helemaal geen Palestijns volk en er hebben in de geschiedenis nooit Palestijnen geleefd’. Zelfs Arafat bekende in zijn “geautoriseerde biografie” dat het Palestijnse volk geen nationale identiteit bezit en dat het concept van een ‘Palestijns volk’ en een ‘Palestijns vaderland’ werden uitgevonden voor politieke doeleinden om 'terrorisme en genocide te rechtvaardigen'. Hij veranderde deze uitspraak toen bleek dat dit zijn zaak niet ten goede kwam. Vervolgens beweerde hij dat de Palestijnen nazaten van de Filistijnen zijn.
In het boek Genesis wordt het volgende over de Filistijnen gezegd.
Genesis 10:13-14 En Mizraïm (de stamvader der Egyptenaren, de tweede zoon van Cham)verwekte de Ludieten, de Anamieten, de Lehabieten, de Naftuhieten, de Pathrusieten, de Kasluhieten, uit wie de Filistijnen zijn voortgekomen, en de Kafthorieten.
De Filistijnen zijn dus nakomelingen van Misraïm, de zoon van Cham en dus geen Semieten. In Zefanja 2:5 en Ezechiël 25:16 worden ze het volk der Keretieten genoemd. Kafthor is de Hebreeuwse naam voor Kreta, en in de Bijbelse traditie worden de Filistijnen dan ook nauw geassocieerd met de Keretieten of Kretenzen.
Tijdens een toespraak voor een groep jongeren in een zomerkamp op 18 augustus 1994 waren plotseling de Kanaänieten de voorouders van de Palestijnen. Arafat noemde Jeruzalem Bir Salem de fontein van Salem. ‘Salem was één van de Kanaänitische koningen, één van onze voorvaderen’ aldus Arafat. De door Arafat genoemde koning Salem is echter een nieuwkomer op het historische toneel. De geschiedenis kent namelijk geen Kanaänitische noch Jebusitische of Filistijnse koning van die naam. Ook de Kanaänieten zijn van de aardbodem verdwenen en waren al evenmin Semieten maar van Cham afkomstig. En zo liegen de diverse Palestijnse leiders alles aan elkaar vast en vinden ze nog gehoor ook!
Er bestaat geen enkel boek dat de geschiedenis behandelt van een Palestijns volk of een andere weergave van een bestaande Palestijnse cultuur. Noch verslagen van reizigers, of het nu christenen, moslims of joden waren, vermeldden enige verdienste van blijvende aard met betrekking tot Arabische historische relatie tot ‘Palestina’. Voor de Arabieren als geheel is er nooit een begrip als ‘Palestina’ geweest. ’Palestina’ wordt eenmaal in de Koran genoemd als het “Heilige Land”- dat wil zeggen, heilig voor joden en christenen. Al deze kletsverhalen gaan er bij de leiders in het Westen in als koek en lukt het de zogeheten Palestijnen al jarenlang steun te verkrijgen voor hun eis dat “Palestina’ aan de Palestijnen moet worden teruggegeven.
In slechts enkele jaren tijd werd het Midden-Oosten conflict met Israël radicaal herschreven. Israël was plotseling een koloniale macht in het Midden-Oosten die de verarmde, ongewapende, hulpeloze, ongelukkige en hopeloze Palestijnen onderdrukte en die daardoor het volste recht hadden de ‘bezetters’ met alle beschikbare middelen te bestrijden.

Vooral voor de kinderen. De kinderen van Gaza werd gezegt tijdens de laatste belegering van de Gazastrook dat ze de heuvels en de daken op moesten gaan, omdat het ' zo goed staat voor de pers als kinderen in de picture komen met beschietingen'..... Hoe ga je dan met je kinderen om... Idd UN, hoe gaan we hiermee om? Dit is toch een totaal andere houding ten aanzien van 'de hoop van je toekomst' als gezien wordt in Israel.
Imprisoned Terrorists Studying at Hebrew University

The State of Israel continues to pay for the higher education of Arab terrorist prisoners, an advertisment by the “Prisoners' Club” in Ramallah shows.
The advertisment gave notice that 100 prisoners from the Rimon jail are enrolled at Hebrew University as foreign students. It also said that three prisoners had received Masters' Degrees.
"Giving the prisoners an education is an important step, and the heads of the [terro organizations in the jails encourage the inmates to join the studies at Hebrew University", imprisoned terrorist Jamal Rajoub said.
Rajoub added that the prisons also give prisoners courses in “general education.”
Israel's Prisons Authority has a long-standing policy of accomodating prisoners' demands in order to avoid riots and strikes, which can only be quelled violently. The Prisons Authority has stated that it is not sure it would receive the backing of the political and legal system if such actions would be necessary.

PA Gov't Honors Mass Terrorist

A Palestinian Authority government complex is being built on a Ramallah street that is named after arch-terrorist Yahye Ayash, dubbed 'The Engineer'.
Ayash, a leader in the Hamas and Iz A-Din Al-Kassam terrorist organizations, was responsible for the deaths of close to 100 Israelis throughout Israel during the terror wave of 1994-1995. He was ultimately liquidated by the Israel Defense Forces when he answered his rigged cell phone in Beit Lahiya. Beit Lahiya, in northern Gaza, has been the source of many Kassam rockets fired at Israel over the years.
Among the attacks he organized were the suicide bus bombings in Afula and Hadera in April 1994 (8 and 6 killed, respectively); the #5 Tel Aviv bus bombing in October of that year (22 dead); and the double attack in Beit Lid in January 1995 (21 dead).
Other attacks he organized included the #36 bus bombing near Kfar Darom (9 dead), the Ramat Gan bus bombing (6 dead), and the #26 bus bomb in Jerusalem (5 dead).
About a month ago, another city square in Ramallah was dedicated in memory of the female terrorist Dalal Mughrabi, who commanded Israel's worst terror attack in history: The Coastal Road Massacre of 1978, in which 37 Israelis were murdered.
Despite International Commitments to Prevent Weapons Smuggling, Iran-backed Hezbollah and Hamas Continue to Re-arm
Following two deadly conflicts with Iran-backed terrorist groups on Israel’s northern and southern borders, the international community has failed to live up to written and stated promises to stop Hezbollah and Hamas from re-arming and – in the case of Hamas – carrying out continued attacks against Israel.[1] [2]
From 2001-2008, Iran-backed Palestinian terrorists in Gaza fired more than 10,000 rockets, missiles and mortars at Israeli civilians in southern Israel. In an effort to protect its civilians, on Dec. 27, 2008 Israel initiated Operation Cast Lead - a defensive operation aimed at halting the attacks directed at Israelis living near Gaza.
Following the 3-week Gaza campaign, international leaders from the United States, United Kingdom, France and Germany declared their intent to bring an end to enormous quantities of arms smuggled into Gaza. Despite these pledges, Hamas continues to rearm with the help of Iran, acquiring even more advanced weaponry than before.
The same promise of international intervention occurred after the Hezbollah-Israel conflict in 2006, when the Iran-backed, Lebanon-based group carried out an unprovoked, cross-border raid inside Israel, killed an Israeli patrol convoy and fired thousands of missiles into northern Israeli towns.
At the time, leaders world-wide made numerous statements promising to prevent Hezbollah from rearming, even approving a UN resolution stipulating that no unauthorized weapons be delivered to Lebanon. Nevertheless, Hezbollah has successfully rearmed, with much greater stockpiles than before the war.
International Commitments to Prevent Hezbollah Rearmament Following Hezbollah’s war on Israel
On July 12, 2006, Iran-backed Hezbollah based in southern Lebanon conducted an unprovoked, cross-border raid, kidnapping two Israeli soldiers and killing eight others.The assault was one of numerous attempts by Hezbollah between 2000 and 2006 to capture Israeli soldiers and prompted Israel to launch a defensive operation (also known as the Second Lebanon War), to severely damage Hezbollah’s terrorist capabilities.
Since the end of the conflict, the terrorist group has amassed more than 40,000 rockets. These include the Iranian Zelzal-2 rocket capable of carrying a 1,300-lb. (600 kg) warhead with a range of 124 miles (200 km), placing all major Israeli cities in range of Hezbollah fire. It also stockpiled unmanned aerial vehicles, advanced Russian-made anti-tank guided missiles and anti-aircraft missiles.
During and after the war, international leaders made numerous statements promising to prevent Hezbollah rearming, and the United Nations Security Council on Aug. 11, 2006 passed Resolution 1701, stipulating that no unauthorized arms be delivered to Lebanon. Despite these commitments, Hezbollah has successfully rearmed and is now better equipped than before the war.
• UN Security Council Resolution 1701, explicitly called for “the disarmament of all armed groups in Lebanon” and required that there be “no sales or supply of arms and related materiel to Lebanon except as authorized by its Government.”
• On July 29, 2006, President Bush said in a radio address, “Militias in Lebanon must be disarmed, the flow of illegal arms must be halted, and the Lebanese security services should deploy throughout the country.”
• On Aug. 11, 2006 – the same day UNSCR 1701 was approved, U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said, “There will also be a need to make sure that arms cannot enter the country [Lebanon] illegally, because one of the problems that has been there is that you've had arms entering illegally that are not going to the armed forces of Lebanon, but to unauthorized armed groups... This [international peace keeping] force has always been intended to create security in the south, to secure the borders, to make sure that the arms embargo works.”
• On Aug. 25, 2006, French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy stated, “Our objective is clear, to disarm Hezbollah.”
• Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Moratinos said on Sept. 10, 2006, “We have a commitment to preventing the transfer of illegal weapons.”
• Italian Foreign Minister Massimo D' Alema issued a statement warning Syria that the international community “would not stand by idly” if Syria continued to allow arms shipments into Lebanon.
Hamas’s Ongoing Terror Campaign Against Israel
As many as 1,500 tunnels now exist under the Egypt-Gaza border. Terrorists use the tunnels to smuggle tons of explosives and other rocket- building material; scores of Grad rockets with ranges of 25 miles (40km); and hundreds of mortar shells and dozens of anti-tank weapons.
Hamas also test-fired a rocket that can travel up to 37 miles (60km), putting Tel Aviv within range of Hamas missile fire. Iran is deeply involved in supporting and aiding Hamas’ arms-smuggling efforts.
Palestinian terrorists fired almost 300 rockets and mortars in the 12 months following Israel’s defensive operation.
International Commitments to Prevent Hamas Rearmament and Gaza Weapons Smuggling
Following Israel’s defensive operation in Gaza, world leaders made dramatic statements – and the United Nations approved a far-reaching resolution – promising to put a stop to the smuggling tunnels and maintain a “durable ceasefire and calm.” The words and promises have yielded little impact.
• On Jan. 8, 2009, the United Nations Security Council passed Resolution 1860, which called on UN members “to intensify efforts to provide arrangements and guarantees in Gaza in order to sustain a durable ceasefire and calm, including to prevent illicit trafficking in arms and ammunition.”
• White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said on Jan. 21, 2009 that President Obama “emphasized his determination to work to help consolidate the cease-fire by establishing an effective anti-smuggling regime to prevent Hamas from rearming.”
• British Prime Minister Gordon Brown stated in an interview on Jan. 4, 2009, “I think the key is that the international powers are able to give guarantees about ending the tunnels, and that will require Egyptian action; about stopping the supply of arms, and that will require the Arab League to be united on that; and, about international monitoring of the crossings.”
• French President Nicolas Sarkozy said on Jan. 8, 2009, “We must give Israel the guarantee that weapons will not pass through that border.”
• On Jan. 18, 2009, six European leaders met at a Sharm el-Sheikh summit hosted by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak where German Chancellor Angela Merkel said, “We must ensure that the smuggling of arms, on land or sea, will be stopped. We will assist to the best of our ability.”

PA Factions say No to Peace Talks

Eight Palestinian Authority factions meeting in Syria have rejected peace talks with Israel based on the “two-state solution,” according to Kuwaiti media. Among the factions were Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
The groups called on the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), the umbrella group that created the PA, to immediately stop talks with Israel. The PA has agreed to indirect talks with Israel, via United States mediators.
The eight factions slammed US negotiators, and accused special U.S. Mideast envoy George Mitchell of seeking to buy time for Israel to implement its own plans.
While the PA is currently run by Fatah, which supports negotiations, Hamas swept the PA parliamentary elections in 2006 and continues to enjoy significant support in Judea and Samaria as well as Gaza. Fatah won only 45 out of 132 seats in the 2006 elections.
Islamic Jihad has a policy of boycotting elections in the Palestinian Authority.
Hamas has called to postpone new PA elections due to the Hamas-Fatah split, which has left Hamas in charge of Gaza and Fatah in control of Judea and Samaria. However, Fatah officials have announced that elections will be held in the course of 2010 with or without Hamas approval.
PA Destroys 7 Tons of Yesha Watermelons

Palestinian Authority officials smashed 7.5 tons of watermelons over the past week and vowed to put the merchants who were selling the produce on trial for “collaborating” with Israel. At the same time, PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad met with officials to announce special "plans" for Jerusalem.
PA "enforcers" have been inspecting local merchants throughout the PA-controlled areas of Judea and Samaria in search of lawbreakers -- storekeepers who do business with their Jewish neighbors.
The watermelons, which had been grown by Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria, are considered contraband by the PA government, which has boycotted all Israeli goods from the region. The PA has now apparently extended that boycott to fruits and vegetables as well.
The destruction of the watermelons was done on the spot, with government enforcers grabbing the fruit and smashing it at the stalls of the merchants.
“The destruction of the watermelons was done publicly,” explained the PA in an official statement to the media, “so that the PA merchants will not be tempted to bring in merchandise from the settlements. “We will not stop at barring goods and destroying them,” the statement continued, “but we will also put on trial merchants caught with such products.”
The Palestinian Authority maintains the death penalty for offenders charged with “collaboration” with Israel. It is possible that doing business with Israeli merchants under the current circumstances could be considered a form of collaboration with Israel.
Fayyad Announces 'Plans for Jerusalem'
PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, who initiated the boycott, is also proceeding with his plan to unilaterally declare the establishment of the PA as a new Arab country in August 2011. Fayyad, who has said that he intends to use the parts of Jerusalem that were restored to Israel during the 1967 Six-Day War as the new country's capital, said Sunday at a meeting that the PA plans to build new neighborhoods there.
“Jerusalem is ours,” he said, “and we have many programs in Jerusalem in the areas of health and education.” According to a reporter for the PA-linked Wafa news agency, Fayyad requested that other portions of his discussion be kept private.
Fayyad reportedly told the meeting that he was relying on the international community, including the European Union and the United States, to ensure that the PA would be able to declare its new country in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem.
“Not a divided state, but a state in all the occupied lands and Jerusalem,” Fayyad was quoted as saying. “Without Jerusalem, there will be no state.”
He also publicly supported the launch of a third intifada, but called it a “non-violent uprising” instead of “violent terror attacks.”

Yesha Council: Make PA Pay for Boycott

Yesha Council head Danny Dayan has proposed the government compensate Israelis who suffer losses due to a Palestinian Authority boycott. Compensation money could come from PA taxes collected and transferred to them by Israel, he suggested to Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz.
Dayan referred to a PA boycott on goods produced by Jews in Judea, Samaria, or parts of Jerusalem. PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad has told police to confiscate and destroy any such goods found in PA-controlled areas.
Fayyad has played an active role in boycott activities, and has even publicly demolished Israeli goods himself, to the cheers of PA Arab crowds.
The PA has demolished many tons of goods in recent months, from cleaning supplies to watermelons. The boycott campaign has been backed by a new “Fund for National Honor and Might.”
"The Israeli government cannot stand idly by in the face of the Palestinian Authority's incitement and economic terrorism,” Dayan told Steinitz. “How can the government continue to make far-reaching gestures to the Palestinians while ignoring the incitement and boycott that it receives in return?”
"I call on you to determine that any sum dedicated by the PA to the organization intended to enforce the economic boycott - or any damage to Israeli factories due to this financial terrorism – be deducted from the tax money that Israel collects on behalf of the PA,” he added.
In March, MK Uri Ariel (National Union) proposed that Israel fight the PA boycott with a boycott of its own, by refusing to buy from PA Arabs or to employ PA Arab workers. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/136323 Tens of thousands of PA Arabs work for Israeli employers, many of them at factories in Judea and Samaria.
