Eén foto die feitelijk de waarheid weergeeft en een foto die gebruikt is voor propaganda.... Maakt u zelf maar uit de foto's op wie hier de waarheid spreekt. Het is niet aan mij om u iets op te dringen, de feiten spreken voor zich.
Wat opvalt (in mijn opinie) is dat bij de eerste foto de Arabische bevolking erbij staat of het ze totaal niet interesseert wat er gebeurt. Kunt u zich voorstellen wat er zou gebeuren als hier echt een Israeli gestaan zou hebben? Het ljkt mij dat hier flink gefotoshopt is...
Wat mij altijd verbaast is dat er geen Joods gezin in een Arabische wijk woont, maar omgekeerd komt het wel voor.... Meerdere Arabische gezinnen overigens! Met deze mensen (die wel samen willen leven met de Joden) zijn er weinig tot geen echte problemen. “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free,” luidt een Arabisch islamistische slogan. Dat wordt al 62 jaar gezegd. Dat moet toch wel te denken geven.

Four US Jews Arrested at Joseph's Tomb

Four Jewish pilgrims from the United States were arrested before dawn on Friday in Shechem as they sought to pray at Joseph's Tomb.
The four, associated with the Bratslav Hassidic group were confronted at gunpoint by Palestinian Authority police and taken into custody before reaching the grave site. They were handed over to Israeli police and taken to the Ariel police station. "Americans are allowed to stay in Nablus and their summary arrest is a violation of international law," a friend of the four detainees said.
David Ha'ivri of the Shomron Liaison Office who has been directly involved in efforts to allow access for Jews to Joseph's tomb also decried the arrest. "This arrest show the irony of the false claims that Israel is apartheid. While Arabs have free access to all areas in Israel, Jewish people are denied access to holy places that are in PA areas administrated by the PLO," Ha'Ivri said.
"It is outrageous that this discrimination and harassment is going on while the PA is supported through funding of the American and EU governments. Joseph's tomb must be reopened for full free access for all Jewish people regardless to their citizenship," he added.
Israel ceded security and administrative control of Shechem to the Palestinian Authority on 2 October 2000 under the auspices of then-Prime Minister Ehud Barak. Upon handing the site over to the PA it was pillaged and extensively vandalized by local Arabs. The next morning the bullet-riddled body of Rabbi Hillel Lieberman, a US citizen who immigrated to Israel and resided in Elon Moreh, was found on the outskirts of Shechem, where he had gone to survery the damage done to the tomb. After these events Barak's government restricted Israeli access to the site.
Israelis did not return to Joseph's Tomb until after Operation Defensive Shield in 2002, after which Israelis were allowed access to the site only with an IDF escort. However, security coordination between IDF and PA forces has been sporadic and the size and frequency of Israeli visits has been limited. Under this situation, many frustrated Bratslav Hassidim have sought to covertly visit Joseph's Tomb under the cover of darkness.
Vandalism by local Arabs is routinely reported by Jewish worshipers who reach the site. In late 2009, a group of Jewish worshipers found the headstone smashed and swastikas painted on the walls, as well as boot prints on the grave itself.
Reaching the gravesite without an IDF escort has proved a dangerous undertaking for Jews. On 24 April 2011, Israeli Ben Yosef Livnat was gunned down in cold blood by a PA security officer in the pre-dawn hours as he sought to reach the tomb. Four of his companions were wounded.
The PA inquiry into the incident found that the men who shot at Livnat acted in "breach of the protocol" for opening fire. However, the commander of the IDF’s Samaria Brigade said in closed conversations that Livnat was murdered and that the PA police officer who opened fire intended to kill Jews. Livnat, the son of US immigrants to Israel and nephew of Minister Limor Livnat, was declared a victim of terror by current defense minister Ehud Barak.

NIF, NGO-Monitor Clash over Far-Left Funding

The New Israel Fund and NGO Monitor clashed this week when NGO monitor accused the NIF of funding a group that urges boycotts of Israel. NGO Monitor reported on Wednesday that NIF funding helps to support the Coalition of Women for Peace (CWP), a far-left feminist group that supports boycotts of Israel.
CWP has promoted such activities as “Israel Apartheid Week” and the “Free Gaza” movement, which encourages activists to violate Israel's naval blockade on Hamas, and supports attempts to bring Israeli leaders to trial for war crimes in Britain. The group recently influenced Germany's railway company to drop out of a project in Israel.
It is a leader in the “Boycotts, Divestments and Sanctions” (BDS) campaign, a campaign the NIF claims not to support.
NIF quickly issued a statement denying supporting CWP, and accusing NGO Monitor of having “knowingly published false information.” NIF has not funded CWP since 2008, and NIF Director Rachel Liel said so in conversation with NGO Monitor head Dr. Gerald Steinberg, the group claimed.
NGO Monitor “has stooped to new lows,” NIF CEO Daniel Sokatch said.
NGO Monitor responded by revealing its evidence. Public grant information shows that CWP received $300,000 from the NIF between 2006 and 2009, and CWP continues to tell supporters that they can donate to the group through the NIF.
NGO Monitor was unable to give information for years later than 2009 because the NIF has not provided such information, Steinberg said. “We hope that as part of accepting NGO Monitor's guidelines for ethical funding, the NIF will publish all of its grant information in a timely manner,” he added.
He expressed satisfaction with NIF's denial that it had funded CWP, saying, “Clearly NIF officials belatedly realize that they are responsible for very costly mistakes in funding the leaders of the BDS and demonization campaigns.” However, he said, “It is important to verify that both direct and indirect funding for groups such as the CWP has indeed ended, and that the NIF join in publicly denouncing this immoral activity.”
“We also urge NIF to end the uncivil attacks that seek to silence this important discussion,” he continued.
NGO Monitor accused the NIF of “grossly distorting” the conversation between Liel and Steinberg.

Terror Victim Group: Stop Coddling Rock Throwing Terrorist Youths

The allegations in a report by the leftist B'tselem organization released Monday about alleged police abuses against Arab minors who throw rocks at Israeli drivers dominated the Israeli media all day. They may or may not be true, says Meir Indor, chairman of the Almagor terror victims' organization – but the report is irrelevant. “The criteria they use relate to the rights of criminals, but Arab rock-throwing is not an individual crime – it's a nationalistic act of war, and must be treated as such.”
The B'tselem report claimed that Israeli police have been abusing the rights of Arab youths suspected of throwing rocks at Israeli drivers and passerby in several neighborhoods of Jerusalem, especially the City of David neighborhood (Silwan). The report claims that police forcefully invaded the homes of several suspects, rousing them from their beds, and prohibiting their parents from being present during their questioning as required by Israeli law. In addition, the report said that many of the youths had complained that police assaulted them as they were being arrested.
“We are certainly not for the abrogation of individual rights for criminals,” Indor told Israel National News. “But the rock throwing by Arab youths is far more than criminal – it's nothing less than an act of war. It's become all too common, and it's life threatening.” Indor himself was injured by a large rock thrown at him by Arab youths on the Mt. “Today, when one of these youths is arrested, he is legally permitted to basically sit in an interrogation room and make fun of police,” Indor said. “The youth is required by law to have his father present, so of course no headway is made in the interrogation. And besides, the youths have a whole array of liberal and leftist organizations, like B'tselem, at the ready to defend them, regardless of what they have done.”
In that sense, said Indor, B'tselem is working against Israel's interests – and, rather than be permitted to continue harming Israel's security by defending terrorists, the organization should be brought up on charges of treason. “B'tselem has a huge budget, much of it supplied from abroad. Police know who these people are, but are powerless to stop them.
“We plan to introduce legislation that will change the law and reclassify these kinds of attacks as terror incidents, that will subject these youths to stiffer penalties, and especially to a different process, other than the normal one that applies to criminals,” Indor said. “In a society that suffers from terrorism as Israel does, we accept that it is reasonable for people to stand in line at the mall and be checked by a security agent. In the same way, it should be reasonable to expect that the individual rights of terrorists – no matter how young they are – be suspended to ensure the safety of society.”

In recent days, the international media, particularly in Europe and the Mideast, has been full of stories about “activist boats sailing to Gaza carrying desperately-needed humanitarian aid and building materials.”
The BBC World Service even led its world news broadcasts with this story at one point over the weekend. (The BBC yesterday boasted that its global news audience has now risen to 220 million persons a week, making it by far the biggest news broadcaster in the world.)
Yet the BBC and other media fail to report on the fancy new restaurants and swimming pools of Gaza, or about the wind surfing competitions on Gaza beaches, or the Strip’s crowded shops and markets.
No, this would spoil their agenda. Playing the manipulative game of the BBC is easy. If we had their vast taxpayer funded resources, we too could produce reports about parts of London, Manchester and Glasgow and make it look as though there is a humanitarian catastrophe throughout the UK. We could produce the same effect by selectively filming seedy parts of Paris and Rome and New York and Los Angeles too.
Of course there is poverty in Gaza. There is poverty in parts of Israel too. (When was the last time a foreign journalist based in Israel left the pampered lounge bars and restaurants of the King David and American Colony hotels in Jerusalem and went to check out the slum-like areas of southern Tel Aviv? Or the hard-hit Negev towns of Netivot or Rahat?)
But the way the BBC and other prominent Western news media are deliberately misleading global audiences and systematically creating the false impression that people are somehow starving in Gaza, and that it is all Israel’s fault, can only serve to increase hatred for the Jewish state – which one suspects was the goal of many of the editors and reporters involved in the first place.

TIME Magazine’s Latest Blood Libel About Israel

The September 13, 2010 issue of TIME Magazine arrived yesterday. The cover story is titled “Why Israel Doesn’t Care About Peace” and is illustrated by a large Jewish star composed of daisies. Yes, daises—as in “counting daisies, don’t have a care in the world.”
This is precisely the point of Karl Vick’s article. He writes:
Israelis are no longer preoccupied with the matter [of peace with the Palestinians]. They’re otherwise engaged: They’re making money; they’re enjoying the rays of the late summer … they have moved on.
Vick quotes an Israeli real estate agent in Ashdod, one Eli, who tells him:
People are indifferent. They don’t care if there’s going to be war. They don’t care if there’s going to be peace. They don’t care. They live in the day.
According to Vick, Israelis don’t care about peace, peace negotiations, or about the Palestinians because they are simply having too good a time: sunbathing, swimming, café-hopping, profiting from start-up companies, and, according to polls cited by Vick, utterly disconnected from “politics;” indeed Vick suggests that Israelis resemble Californians more than they resemble Egyptians. These are all points which scream: Israel does not fit in; if Israelis were only more impoverished, more indolent, and paradoxically, even more “laid back,” they might be recognizable as indigenous to the region, a true part of the Middle East.
These are Vick’s thoughts, not mine.
Of course, Jews are the original Palestinians and the most indigenous of the region’s inhabitants; yes, there are many impoverished Israelis, both Jews and non-Jews; and, let’s not forget that there are even some Israelis who remain permanently on high alert for the next terrorist attack, permanently scarred by the last ones. For a moment, let’s forget about all that. Allow me to ask: Why doesn’t Vick also point out that Palestinians are leading the high life on the West Bank and in sumptuous villas on both the West Bank and in Gaza; that they, too, are sunbathing, swimming, shopping, dining out, and relaxing at the beach—at least as much as the Islamist thugs who run the lives of Palestinians will allow it?
Vick and his editors at TIME seem to think that showing six photos of Israelis at leisure: blowing smoke on a beach chair, lounging on a beach chair, resting in an army uniform on the beach without a chair, playing with one’s baby in a stroller, sitting at a café—are proof that Israelis are engaging in activities which are not admirable, are, in fact, “proof” that they are not suffering but rather, proof that Israelis simply don’t care about peace with the Palestinians. And Vick brings in polls as well as expert and person-in-the-street opinions to back up this claim.
Vick writes that real estate is booming, as is business in general, Israeli “brainiacs” have helped their nation avoid the economic disasters that have plunged Europe and America into a recession. He literally writes this. “Israel avoided the debt traps that dragged the U.S. and Europe into recession. It is known as a start-up nation—second only to the U.S. companies listed on the Nasdaq exchange.”
Is Vick aware that, consciously or not, intentionally or not, he is counting on the world’s long-held resentment about Jewish creativity, genius, and scientific and economic success—counting on the world’s willingness to scapegoat Israel once again for crimes that it has not committed? Or because Jews seem to “know something,” maybe they are channeling God directly and thus, the deck is stacked against non-Jews. Vick presents Israel’s “success” as somehow unseemly, because it makes other nations look bad. Does he harbor the suspicion that Jewish prosperity has been “stolen” from non-Jews or is he merely advertising that Jewish gold is there, ripe for the taking?
Buried—but really buried-- in Vick’s four page cover piece are snippets of true facts: That the Israelis are weary of peace negotiations which never succeed because the Palestinians do not want peace; that Arabs and Palestinians want to destroy the Jewish state and as many Jews as possible.
But Vick fails to convey that negotiations cannot work as long as the ultra-Nazified Arab Islamic propaganda against Jews and Israel continues to turn out children who hate Jews and who become human homicide bombs, snipers, kidnappers, kassam rocket throwers, etc.
Here is what Vick utterly fails to comprehend, namely, that the Israelis are not merely tired, disenchanted, living in la-la land a la southern Californians (hence, the Jewish star made of daisies on the cover). The Israelis are actually showing the entire world how to embrace life, even as they live, trembling, in the shadow of death. They are teaching the world how to “love life more than they fear death.” A new and wonderful book A New Shoah. The Untold Story of Israel’s Victims of Terrorism by Italian journalist Giulio Meotti, which is not yet out, makes precisely this point.

It might be the lesson, the model, for all humanity in an era of genocides, civil wars, torture chambers, tyrannies, and totalitarian regimes. Why is TIME turning things on their head and refusing to recognize the courage and the heroism of Jewish Israelis who choose to live in the moment when the moment is all they have? Against all odds, the Jews simply refuse to give up. As Meotti writes of the numerous victims of terrorism during the ongoing Intifada of 2000, “Israel teaches the world love of life, not in the sense of a banal joie de vivre, but as a solemn celebration.”
Meotti begins where I began in early 2004, when I wrote about a new Holocaust in the pages of The Jewish Press, a Holocaust which is now based in Israel. At the time, I was not heard beyond a small circle. I did what Meotti now does in his opening pages. Meotti fully understands that Israel is the “first country ever to experience suicide terrorism on a mass scale: that more than 150 suicide attacks have been carried out plus 500 have been prevented." According to Meotti, there have been “1,723 people (murdered) and 10,000 injured” in Israel. Meotti does what I did: He converts these numbers into the demographic equivalent of attacks on Americans. When I did so there were somewhat fewer people in both categories. Thus, Meotti writes that in American population terms, this means that “74,000 Americans” would have been killed and “400,000 injured.”
Vick does not factor this grave reality into his article. Nor does he seem to know how high the Jewish population growth was in the DP camps right after the Holocaust. Can he comprehend that permanently endangered Jews—a people that has survived as a people for nearly six thousand years—the Chosen People—have always chosen life in the moment, have chosen to seize life with both hands, even as they memorialize their dead and make sense of their persecution in a way that illuminates this particular Hell for all humanity?
What Meotti is doing is remembering the lives and the deaths of the Israeli victims of Palestinian terrorism during the last decade. I have only read the first few chapters but cannot put it down. These are unknown stories, unnamed victims, whose mortal remains have often evaporated, disintegrated as surely as those Jews who literally went up in smoke during the Nazi Holocaust. His stories are mainly of victims who were unarmed and helpless and who, it turns out, were actually exceptionally kind to others, often to the very Arab Palestinians who shot them down, bludgeoned them to death, or blew them up into unrecognizable bone fragments, drops of blood, perhaps a few teeth.
I look forward to completing Meotti’s book. I hope that people more fully understand that TIME Magazine as well as countless other media in the Western world, can no longer be trusted to tell the truth.

Is het niet zo dat de heer Lieberman in minuut 1.14 waarschuwt voor wat Hamas kapot kan maken in Samaria en Judea, net zoals ze dat gedaan heeft in de Gazastrook? Op de Gazastrook is er een situtie ontstaan (door toedoen van de Hamas) waar 'de honden geen brood van lusten' als het gaat om intermenselijke relaties. Het sluiten van 240 huwelijken op één dag http://brabosh.com/2010/08/13/massahuwelijk-voor-240-koppels-georganiseerd-door-hamas-in-gaza/ om voldoende Jihadstrijders op de wereld te helpen, is hier ook zo'n voorbeeld van. Volgens mij gebeurde er ook zoiets vlak voor de tweede wereldoorlog in Duitsland...of is iedereen dit al vergeten?
Met welk recht mag je ingrijpen in mensenlevens op dit niveau? De Hamas zet alles (naar wat zij kan gebruiken) in in de strijd en schuwt blijkbaar geen enkel middel... Is het niet zo dat als er niet serieus gepraat wordt, de Islamitische grondslagen van de Hamas en de Hezbollah de PA totaal overvleugelt, zodat ze zich keert tegen haar eigen broeders? En dat alleen alleen maar om de macht in handen te krijgen... Dat is al gebeurt op de Gazastrook. Waar houdt vrijheid van meningsuiting op? Is dat niet op het punt waar je een persoon of staat demoniseert of het recht van bestaan wilt ontnemen?

Ik wil u graag iets vertellen over Hebron, zoals ik dat zelf gezien heb bij een bezoek aan deze moeilijke woonplaats voor Joodse families.
- In Hebron woont een familie die tijdens het Chanuka is beschoten. De vader van de familie is gaan bidden met zijn gezin tijdens deze aanval. De kogels floten om hun oren, maar niemand werd geraakt. Ramen en deuren zijn hersteld na de schietpartij. Overigens heeft deze familie geen schitterend mooi huis (gestolen van de palestijnen...... zoals sommige beweren....) maar wonen ze in een oude keet met ramen en deuren er in gemaakt. Hun eigen huis is hun ontnomen, vanwege politiek steekspel.... Dit betekend dat ze nog steeds hypotheek betalen en niet in hun eigen huis mogen wonen. Toch blijven deze mensen in Hebron wonen, omdat ze niets liever willen als hun grond en huis terug. Alleen daarom, nemen ze genoegen met een keet die koud is in de wintertijd (15 graden Celsius).
- Slechts één straatje is de joden toegewezen om binnen de (kleine !!) wijk te kunnen keren. Bovenaan de straat is zware militaire bewaking. Om naar het graf van Ruth en Isai te komen, mag je door de loopgraven lopen, om niet beschoten te worden door de palestijnen. Sinds het eind van dit jaar (2010) is zelfs de bewaking verminderd en nemen hierdoor de risico's toe...
- In deze wijk is een klein sportplaatsje tussen de huizen. Aan de overkant van de straat ligt de nieuwe stad Hebron. Er hoeft maar een gek op te staan en te gaan schieten en je kinderen zijn absoluut niet veilig. Ze zijn gewoon een schietschijf ter plekke...
- Alle personeel van een medisch centrum (Beith Hadassa) is hier in 1929 vermoord door palestijnen, terwijl ze alleen maar goed deden. Hiervoor wordt de ogen gesloten door de leiders van terroristische organisaties.
- Een synagoge werd als geitenstal gebruikt en er was één man die hier geen genoegen mee nam en elke dag de stal schoonmaakte. Tot zijn laatste snik! Vandaag de dag is deze synagoge weer in ere hersteld.
- Een kleine baby werd doodgeschoten in haar kinderwagen. Bewust om te pesten. Haar vader werd in zijn knieën geschoten en is invalide geworden. Waarom moet dit als je uit bent op vrede? Of mag die vrede er niet komen??
Verdere details zijn na te lezen als u Hebron, Kirjat Arba opzoekt in het menu. Dit is maar een verkorte versie van wat u daar kunt lezen.
Wat mij het meest beangstigd is dat jonge kinderen opgroeien in een 'sfeer van haat en aangeleerd gedrag' om joden te haten en ze alles in de weg te leggen wat ze kunnen.... Kinderen die 'opgehitst worden om stenen te gooien....' 'Om wapens op te nemen', op een leeftijd die hier in het westen als 'krankzinnig' beschouwd wordt?!! Een kind van amper tien jaar oud, geef je nog geen wapen in handen. Zeker niet om te gebruiken tegen medemensen.
Wie is hier de agressor als ik zo vrij mag zijn dat te vragen....
Natuurlijk is dit plaatje niet volgens de Thora, maar het geeft wel aan dat er iets goed fout zit vandaag de dag....
Onderstaande link verteld van de Hurva-synagoge, laat iets zien van het Joodse kwartier in Jeruzalem. In de pers wordt gedaan alsof het op Palestijnse grond staat. Dit is werkelijk een 'uit de lucht gegrepen onzin-verhaal...' Dit accepteerd de wereld als vanzelfsprekend? Is het niet gewoon heel simpel een feit dat de Palestijnen het niet kunnen hebben dat er een synagoge terug is gebouwd in het hart vanJeruzalem? Ze hebben er 'maar 55' met de grond gelijk gemaakt in het recente verleden (alsof het niets is....) en nog regelmatig wordt er puin afgevoerd van de tempelberg wat afkomstig is van Joodse bouwwerken in de Tempelberg zelf. Dit bewijsmateriaal mag er blijkbaar niet blijven liggen? Deze ene kleine Hurva-synagoge mag er blijkbaar ook niet staan??
Als zo dadelijk de moskee instort omdat de fundamenten zijn weggebroken onder de moskee, krijgt Israel dan soms ook de schuld hiervan? En dat terwijl de Arabieren dit zelf in de hand werken door de fundamenten weg te breken en ze vaak genoeg gewaarschuwd zijn dit niet te doen? De gouden koepel weegt nogal wat, met een beetje pech is het logisch als het een keer fout gaat... Israel kreeg zelfs de schuld van de Tsunami het afgelopen jaar van de Arabieren.. Wat is hier allemaal logisch aan in vredesnaam? Waar is de wil om in vrede te leven?? Is er nog iemand die bereid is logisch na te denken of neemt de haat zo de overhand dat er een blinde vlek ontstaat?
